Suggestion: RSS feeds for authors and tags.

I should to be able to subscribe to individual authors and tags on CR news.
For example, I should be able to subscribe to updates by Patrick Macias by visiting url like http://www.crunchyroll.com/newsfeed/writer/PatrickCRNews/feed. Also, I should be able to follow news items featuring Kyary Pamyu Pamyu by subscribing to RSS feed like http://www.crunchyroll.com/newsfeed/tag/kyary+pamyu+pamyu/feed.
Every generic wordpress blog has such feature. Even NicoNicoDouga has it. I don't understand why it's missing from CR news.

Suggestion?

You should (I'm not saying if you don't want to) add some sort of thingy to change your username like Twitter has!!
I'm sure this site will grab a lot of attention if you could change your username for free, instead of creating a whole
new account and making everything a waste of time, you done on the other account. 0 _ 0

Congratz to Crunchyroll, the "My Queue" portion of your website is coming along very nicely! I think I have one suggestion for you guys though.

Would it be possible to add a "Mark all videos as viewed" button?

(or at least default to the most current episode, unless the series is done airing...)

It doesn't show the most current episode if you haven't previously watched them or FULLY completed them all. So if you go to your queue to check for the latest episode, it may end up showing the last un-completed one. Example below:

As shown above, I have currently seen all of Fairy Tail, but some videos are not marked as such. Thus it only displays the next up as being 137. I previously watched Naruto via a different method, but I have seen all of the Shippuden series up until the latest one. Sadly, if I go to my queue, it will only display the early episodes. Effectively rendering going into My Queue to look for the latest episodes of my anime useless until I tell the system that I have seen those previous episodes already. Currently, the only way that I know of to do that is watch them...

What's a quick fix or awesome addition you might ask? Add a Setting menu or something similar. I provided what I consider a lovely example of how the menu could exist on the page. It seems like a simple, effective, and very user friendly way of handling something like this.

Thanks and keep up the good work!

EDIT: So I went to My Queue and decided to click "Clear all history." That was a very bad idea. As now I have reset My Queue to have everything shown at the first episode... Which would be fine by me, if only I could select the option to mark them all as viewed... But it's not that major, I wanted to start fresh anyhow.

EDIT 2: I guess I should use the system more before suggesting stuff... After clearing history, and watching Fate/Zero from a middle episode, the system picked up on it and did not place the episodes at any earlier. >.< Welp, after falling over and hurting myself twice, at least I can stand on one leg, it would still be nice to have a "Mark all" button... lol

Maybe there's already a way to do this, and I just haven't found it. Often I want to read the comments on an episode, but right now it seems the only way to do that is to go to the episode page--where the episode automatically starts playing. Since I usually have already seen the episode (most often via Roku, but sometimes), that's not what I want to happen. Personally I would love it if the video didn't automatically start playing, but I'm guessing that having an extra step to start playing would be annoying for those who are going to the page in order to see the video.

So my suggestion would be for there to be a way to change one's personal settings so that clicking on an episode doesn't automatically play it, or for there to be a way to go to an episode's comments and information, without going to the episode itself.

They used to have a dedicated "comments" button under each video, but I think they removed it. A work around so far is to append /comments to the end of any video link like below:

http://www.crunchyroll.com/sword-art-online/episode-1-the-world-of-swords-606739/comments

This will take you directly to the comments section ONLY. It isn't very helpful since you have to get the video link first by going to the video page, but at least any subsequent times you visit you can just add /comments before hitting go. (depending on your browser that is...)

Hopefully that helps for some things...

hey, I have suggested here lots before but as I've seen so far, not much changes have been made unless for the queue. though it really is helpful :d so I'm just gonna list the top 2 I wanted so far which the old crunchyroll have

1. advanced search button
- ever since I came back here in january, I haven't seen the advanced search button [which I actually asked about it and said maybe few months it will come back again] then I left cr again. now that I'm back again, it's still isn't here ;o

2. crunchyroll chatroom
- well, I miss it. even if it's already shut down before, www.crunchyroll.com/chat still works, but now it's completely gone >_________>
please cr, put the chatroom back ;o

I noticed when the player takes you from one video to the next it doesn't play the next video at the same resolution as the last. This makes me have to switch the resolution on every video since my internet isn't fast enough to stream 720p.

Suggestion: When the player takes you to the next video in a series it should use the same resolution as the last video.

It sounds as if you don't have your default resolution set.

Use this link to go to your video preferences, and set the "Default video quality" to what you desire. (It appears you want 480p).
