I was sexually/verbally harassed by one of the users on this site so I got rid of him as a buddy.

Since then he keeps sending me buddy requests and I keep rejecting them but it wont stop.

Isn't there a way that once they are rejected they CANT send another buddy request to that person?

I don't know if it would work for buddy requests, but you could try adding him to the block list on the Inbox preferences page.

I would also advise using the contact form to officially notify Crunchyroll you are being harassed by said user.

He is on my block list. I had no choice because he was constantly sending me inbox messages too. Now he just keeps sending me buddy requests pretty much everyday.

Also he has been reported before. He just keeps making new profiles when he gets banned.

I wish there was just a way where they can make it so if the user rejects you then they can not try to buddy with that user again.

Assuming he was in the United States, you could check about filing a complaint against him in his state if it has a cyberharassment law. The problem with that is you would need personal information on him, which I doubt CR could legally turn over without a warrant. Even then, just because a state passes a law doesn't mean they do a good job of enforcing it.

Short of that, it appears you've already made all the right moves. Hopefully someone at CR will take note of this thread and check into seeing if something more can be done.

Unfortunately, banning someone that really wants back in on a site that permits free accounts is always going to be ineffective. Banning by IP address is problematic and often ineffective, leaving the only means of really stopping such a user as taking legal action against them for the equivalent of electronic trespass, which can be expensive or even impossible, depending on where they reside.

Indeed the suggestion you've made (to be able to block buddy requests from a user permanently) would be the easiest, as he could then only harass you once per account created.

Provided CR doesn't allow you to sign up for a new account with an e-mail address that has been used before (especially one associated with a banned account), the task of also having to create new mail accounts each time should eventually dissuade him.

It'll be awesome if CR can give out monthly badges to premium members for supporting the site.

We used to have the system where Shinji was the one designing the badges and giving them out to star supporters. Personally, I'm a big fan of them. : )

Yes, I really don't want to make this a big deal. I am just putting a suggestion out there. At the moment I just ignore the requests and that is all he can really do. It would be great though if I didn't have to see his stupid buddy requests on my profile any more.

"Mark as Watched" for episodes and series. These have already been suggested, so I'm just throwing in my vote.

Also, something like GetSatisfaction instead of this thread, so CR can get a better picture of what people want.

Sorry if this has already been suggested (I checked the list in the first post and didn't see it).

Series often have some stand out episodes (e.g. Gintama) and currently there doesn't seem to be a way to track them for viewing later, recommending to others, etc. I'd like the ability to favourite an episode and then view the list of favourites somewhere (e.g. another tab in queue next to history or in my profile). Possibly also have the ability to add a note as to why its a fav.

Suggestion related to Video:

Is it possible to make the video retain full screen mode when it goes to the next episode?

Forum suggestion.

I love posting on the forum and getting into awesome conversations in a topic. However sometimes for the life of me i can't remember what topic i posted on. I know their is a video history to see the last anime's you watched but i think it would be awesome to do this with the forum as well. Maybe like you could have a history of what you posted in, and every tag it so it gives you a notification if someone posted in that topic of not so you can keep up with the conversation

I was thinking about recommending this feature to the current Crunchyroll. The advantage of using this feature would benefit some of here on Crunchyroll who does not like the White flash background and also the comments below the video. What do you think about it? I've tried the Turn off the lights add-on for Chrome but it isn't compatible with these kind of videos. It's only applicable to YouTube and Vevo videos. Again this is for people who doesn't watch in Full Screen. I've been looking for this add-on forever and it seems no one else mentioned it in this forum so I tough this would be a good idea to show it?
I think there's a way we could implement this feature with a simple coding. I have no serious knowledge on websites tough.

So here's a demonstration of this add-on performed on YouTube.com

CR is working on a way to enable this feature. The problem is that flash does not support this natively, so websites that want to retain full screen between episodes have to come up with a work around to be able to offer this.

If you notice on sites like Youtube, after watching videos back to back in full screen, when you minimize the video you are still on the same page as the first video you started to watch, and then the browser will automatically update the page to go to the video that you were last watching.

I think everyone that wants this feature should spam Adobe's inbox asking them to implement this feature into Flash.

The problem is that such a feature could be used for malicious (or at least annoying) purposes.

As an example, say a user clicked on a link that took them to an advertising site. The site could then launch a video full screen, and could pop it back to full screen any time you hit the escape key. It might surprise you how many users wouldn't know how to close their browser under such circumstances.

I had an idea recently and figured I'd post it on the off chance that someone else wants it too.

My idea is to provide temporary downloads for crunchyroll videos on various devices, sort of like what Amazon does for its rentals. These downloads could be limited to 24 hours or something, and might be exclusive to premium members or something like that. Downloading the video would of course allow offline-viewing. This would be great for watching my favorite shows on the plane or the bus ride to my college campus. I could just download before I leave and watch the show on the road. I would even use it on my PS3 since our Wi-Fi can only seem to handle one stream at a time, meaning I can't watch crunchyroll when my mom wants to watch youtube. After 24 hours, the download would be deleted automatically.

I'm not sure how practical this is between video formats and licensing and such. I just figured I'd throw it out there.

Yeah I was also looking for this feature awhile ago. I think there's a plugin made on the Help/Support Desk but it's not completely Full Screen and 1080p (Chrome only). I think the only way is to change video's encoding but that would require a lot of work.

This really bothered me, when you are on the forum's main page:

Latest Forum Topics

Why are topics made in groups included? Groups shouldn't be part of it at all. After all it says latest FORUM topics. Not "Latest Group Forum Topics".
