This is of course just my two cents but I think if you ate the death note, you would.
1) Get this gagging feeling in the back of your throat as the paper goes down..
2) Feel your stomach burn in agony at touching the paper
3) You'd then start to feel faint, as if someone has poking you repeatedly in the side.
4) YOu'd be able to see the cheese gods and shinigami for a couple days.
5) until you crap it all out, BE CAREFUL who's name your calling out.
6) Then you'd wake up from this strange dream and realise, it's normal paper unless it has names written on it. Nothing would happen from eating a sheet of paper if you chewed it throughly.
