The school prince type. He's good at academics, sports, has a rich family, isn't a doucebag and everyone wants to be him or be with him. He's also never tired and always looks like he stepped off the pages of a magazine. Gimme a break, no one is that perfect.

When girls are overly weak, whiny, clingy, or act younger than their age, particularly to get a guy's attention. What guy would actually go for that? Don't you have any pride as a woman??

Sure, some of the anime where girls act like that the show isn't targeting me as it's audience. It's kind of like BL stuff. I know that's not how guys in real life act and lots of guys in real life hate it, but it's still entertaining for me. So let those fans have their fun too, I just won't watch those kind of shows. But when those annoying type girls show up in an anime I like it is so irritating.

Keep in mind what country these are coming from; different culture, different expectations. One also has to keep in mind that a large percentage of the market for such anime probably aren't the most secure fellows.

Yeah I know, that's why I wrote the part about those shows/characters not being aimed at me in particular. That's just the kind of thing that goes through my mind when a character like that comes across the screen. They piss me off, which is why I posted about them in this thread

I like Naruto. He has a personality. Its the shell main characters that I can't stand. Hell I would even take Sakura over someone like say Tenchi. And it really bugs me that you NEVER ever see a main character succumb to temptation with the cluless beautiful female. Its unrealistic almost to the point of dishonesty (I'm looking at you "the pet girl of sakura hall" ).
