He actually fits this story well. If he wasn't like that, that would take away the eerie feeling.

Yeah, but in the route where he really "grows up" the most he gets his ass kicked by Suwa and then gets kicked out of the system by Norose.

Takumi is so awesome. He goes and makes this delusional avatar thing with his own powers and then does stuff. Dude, he real-booted something that could real-boot. That's how good he is.

Lulz though once I realized that Tsubasa Yonaga was Jun Yamamoto, but the voice is pretty obvious...

Now this Takumi, he should be up there with Zero and Light.

He writes some equation that can potentially create mechanical gods at the age of ten, accidentally applies that power to himself and overloads the power because he has too much of it, then finds out he has only seven years to live because of his power drawbacks. To make things worse, he finds out that a corrupt religious corporation within the government found his doodles and decided to actually make the mechanical god. Instead of shutting himself in a storage room and playing mmorpg's until he dies and thinking about 2D girls while collecting anime figures and drinking excess amounts of coke, he decides to plan things out for 5 years while using his delusion powers to link with a girl kidnapped by the leaders of the evil organization who acquired powers similar to his. He then begins the creation of another him by maxing out his real-boot capabilities and asks that girl to be his friend since artificially created people are pretty much losers. Lastly, he "Geasses" his sister into forgetting about him and think of the newly created "him" to be her brother (wowowowowcharlesandlelouch). Then he guides his "twin son" and helps him to real-boot, which makes him even more awesome because he now has a delusion that can real boot.

Are you kidding Takumi is one of the best, perfectly flawed, realistic, mentally distraught, characters in a story I've ever seen in a show. His cowardice is perfectly understandable, he's not used to dealing with people, and doesn't trust people he doesn't know. He's the perfect example of a human being in real mental peril. His dealing with women is even more perfect because he doesn't trust them and they prove him right through out the show. All the women that he meets throughout the show keep causing him to distrust women even more because they do nothing but deceive him. All the quirks, awkwardness, and lowness of Takumi makes him the perfect most human like character for this sort of situation in a show like this.

Chaos;Head would've sucked if Takumi was a hot-blooded shonen hero. You know this.

And face it, if we were put in a situation like that, even without all the mind-screw, 90% of us would pretty much act like him.

2 very good points. except i know most of us (guys) would most likely be actually trying to get a girl unlike him who is more into 2D girls, thats the only thing that bothers me about the character.

personally i dislike him a lot. i can't stand guys that act like that. Hate the fact that he is a such a wuss. and i hate the way he look. for me, first impressions means a lot.

the only reason i am still watching is because i can't stop watching because it is too complicated and if i don't find out the truth, i can't stop watching.
