Let's face it.. we've been through thick and thin.. Going through things.. somethings we can still remember..
This forum can be similar to the most memoriable fight forum or not.
What was the most memoriable lesson you learned from the martial arts, or life.. and how did you learn it?
Was it a fight you won?.. Was it a fight you lost? Was it a time when you needed to give up something,..
Why you took up martial arts.. or the hardest thing you needed to face.. whether victory, defeat, or truth of the matter. Do you think it changed you?

Defeat doesn't necessarily mean you have to give up. get up and try again

A fight with a boxer, i was over 245 pounds, 12 years old, i had no clue on how to attack, i was clueless about fighting. And he was i think 16 or 17. When i lost i way somewhat confused about life. Towards the end of summer we got a new neighbor, we greeted each other, i singed up at a local gym. Then i me and got into talking and i told him that i go to gym, he also went to that gym but just in a different location. He invited me to the one he went to, so i agreed. As arrived there we left the car in the parking lot and were walking to the gym. Then i forgot the reason but we started to talk about Fighting, he said he knew some things about fighting, i wanted to see, so he demonstrated it to me, and wow how amazed was i, i have never seen any fighting moves like that or in that speed. It was amazing, then as we went into the gym he showed me more, then later on we into the habit of exercising together, so he helped me learn the basic of fighting, which is Boxing, so many events happened but its to long to list, then as time passed, i got into the habit in exercising, he moved and went on studying to become FBI. Then at the age of 17 which is my age now, i weight 180 pounds, i studied so much Martial Arts, in whatever possible way i could, then one time i heard that one boxer wanted a rematch, so i said why not, i put on my tank top one evening, then went to the gym, as i was walking i noticed that guy was there so i walked up to him and said " hey i heard you wanted to fight me" he said " no no no" with smile as if he saw a ghost. That's the end of that. Here i am training to be the best fighter in the world, of course i will need lots of money for that, so i will be taking business classes and make money by becoming a Personal Trainer, then buy and sell stock. Become renown high rank trainer, then train athletics, i will try to make a lot of millions, then open my own personalized Martial Arts centers, the size of 5 story building maybe even bigger. Make real fighting known everywhere, not like that UFC grappling crap, who the ****** wants to hug in fighting. I will look into the beauty of fighting. A while doing that i will invent my own Martial Arts. Bruce Lee once said i am not afraid of the man that studied 10,000 different Martial Arts, but i fear the man that studied 1 technique 10,000 times. Introducing my own Martial Arts, you will soon hear about it in the future. Later

I've just been to boxing for one week so far, but the best thing I learned so far is probably that you don't always have to follow and do exactly as the basics. Like for example in your battle stance,,, your stance should be the one where you feel you have the most balance etc. I think you should always give thoughts to your training, like why do I do this, when will I be able to use this, and how do I make the most out of it? etc etc... Be critical to yourself, but don't overdo it. Find the balance

lol brings me back to when i first started. One of the most important lessons I learned was never to close your eyes before you get hit lol.... To some of you that may be automatic, but I was scared of getting hit until my instructor told me it's going to hurt just as bad with my eyes closed as it is with my eyes open welps least with my eyes open I'm able to see where the punch is coming from and hopefully dodge or counter . Not the best story but it was my most memorable ^-^.
