My Sassy Girl is a remake of the highly successful 2001 Korean film of the same name. My Sassy Girl is the tale of the first and last time Charlie Bello falls in love. From their initial meeting, trouble is the name of the game. Imagine an amorphous mass of dating disasters and you get an idea of the relationship between the young couple. Some mysterious force with the strength of gravity between two planets must be at play between Charlie and Jordan as the relationship truly makes no sense on the surface. Everything seems pitted against the two of them. Things suddenly come to a halt when the two write letters confessing their love for each other. Agreeing to meet a year later to read the love letters together, Charlie and Jordan go their separate ways.

Yea i didn't like it ...
If you compare it to the korean My Sassy Girl, the remake was pretty bad, the moments that were funny in the korean version weren't funny the american. I thought it wasn't as beautiful as the orignal.
If you don't compare it tho, i thought it was ok .. but that's it.

The Korean version is much, much better

i love the remake. i just got the dvd two days ago. of course you have to watch it with a blank heart. disregard the original korean movie and welcome it as it is. you have to realize that american culture and asian culture are different from one another that's why those changes were there.

i think many labeled the movie "bad" because we were expecting it to be as good as the original and to appeal to us the way the original did. they're the same story just different ways of telling, different morals, different cultures, different actors, different scenery. but it all comes down to destiny as the main plot.

just watch the movie with an open heart instead of bias notions regarding remakes
