I dont remember the names of the voice characters and they are not that important, but sometimes on rare occasions there will be instances of attractive female characters with annoying voices or this solemn, dark, good looking male character whose voice does not match his image, and while it wont stop me watching the anime - it will detract from the pleasure I get from it and I will not watch it again. So yeah, guess the voice character does matter.
I also prefer the Japanese voices to some of the dubbed English ones - somehow they rarely match up the voices and characters properly!

As long as it fits to what the character looks like.

I had heard two dubs (Filipino and Japanese) on the voice of Ryosuke Takahashi (Initial D) The Filipino voice actor fits better to Ryosuke. I don't like much the voice in Japanese dub (even though it was Takehito Koyasu). It was too low pitched.

Yes, now i will consider characters voiced by whoever voices Shana/Louise/Taiga to Underdeveloped Tsundere types, and characters voiced by whoever voices Yuji/Saito to be the companion of above Tsundere type person.

For the most part, no. But it's true the seiyuu plays a large role in sculpting the overall persona/likeability of whatever character they're playing. For instance, don't us fangirls love Zero's character a just a bit more once we hear Miyano Mamoru's dreamy voice? And don't we all cringe a little when we hear that hoarse Ash Ketchum-esque voice of the dubbed Naruto?

But ultimately I don't judge the character by the seiyuu. I can still watch Naruto despite that horrible American dub, and even though Miyano Mamoru does the voice for Shotaro in Skip Beat, I still want to give Sho-kun a roundhouse kick to the face. He's such a pompous jerk!

But yeah...if you couldn't tell from this post, I'm crazy in love with Miyano-san's voice....

I usually come to like the voice due to liking the character, so then, I'll check out what other characters the VA has done, and sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised by how flexible some of these VAs are. A few I've been impressed with recently are

Daisuke Sakaguchi (who can be wild or mild): Sunohara of Clannad, Yuuji of Bamboo Blade

and Houko Kuwashima (just because I like her voice): Isako of Dennou Coil.
