Alright, just let me get this straight, if we pay 60 dollars now and pre-order we will be able to preview the anime episodes 1 hour after they air in Japan?? What if we want to watch the episodes 2 hours after they air lol, i'm assuming Shinji is saying that we'll be able to watch the ep's quicker then on any other site and be able to watch them later on, am i right? If Naruto Shippuden and Gintama are in High def i'm definatley up for paying 60 bucks to just watch those two animes alone. I'd say what Shinji is doing is a somewhat good thing, alot of people might look down upon him for it yeah but in the end he's only trying to do whats best( not get sued
), so generally he's helping the anime world and somewhat crushing it |

Amazing video quality! Congratulations, Shinji!
I'd like to subscribe, but the only anime I'm interested in is Skip Beat... Do u use a professional translator for the episode translation? |

Skip Beat LOVE!!! *_*

To roddymcrstle yes I think you can watch it whenever you want. I just have to be sure befor I pay:I can't watch it in 720p I only have 1.83GHz,and not that fast conection either,so will I be able to chose between 720p and 480p? I can only watch it in 480,and I wanna be sure...

There is no reason for it to be this large. Please crunchyroll, please don't do something as foolish as this again: taking up such a popular anime series like Naruto Shippuuden to be subbed without first knowing how to do it efficiently and productively. 33 Megabytes for 1:30 would make the full episode roughly 700 Megabytes, something almost no one would want to stream. Only people with T3 Internet speed wouldn't have to wait for the video to buffer. If Eclipse-Fansubs can encode their 720p anime into less than 250 Megabytes, than certainly a "professional" website such as this would be capable of it, no? I truly hope you don't ruin another great anime series that may come our way. I was looking forward to you guys doing it too, but now, I'm rather disappointed. I think it would have been an infinitely smarted move if Viz had just hired Dattebayo as the official fansubbers of their anime. But alas, nothing ever works out for the better. I'm glad that you were blunt, because it gives me the opportunity to do the same without coming across as a dick. Apparently you've never heard of the term "variable bitrate". Watch an episode of Naruto Shippuden very closely, my friend. Notice how the intro credits are very detailed, with a lot of high motion, textures, etc. Now watch the rest of the episode and see how it differs. Much less motion, fewer textures. Care to take a guess about which segments a good video encoder would allocate the preponderance of its total allotted bits? You're very clever for being able to linearly extrapolate the filesize, but unfortunately that's a far cry away from how video encoding actually works. If only you were "infinitely smarted", I'm sure you would've understood this before indignantly creating a user account simply for the purpose of trolling with this nonsense. You really think a streaming video site of this scale doesn't know how to... stream video? I didn't come here to argue with other users. It's cute you think you know what you are talking about, but the sad reality is, you don't. Sure, opening and ending scenes contain more motion. But the compression ratio is hardly different. I doubt you will see an episode being less than 500 Megabytes from these fools. And another thing, pointing out typos as an insult doesn't make you look any better. Everyone makes them, we're all human here. |

It's cheap for 20 bucks/three months. Though, I wonder how much it will be after pre order.

Have you ever encoded video in your life? Allow me to give you a little lesson. The compression ratio is affected by the visual complexity of a particular scene. A relatively static scene requires much fewer bits to compress to the same level of visual quality than a scene full of motion (or complex textures). And, yes, this ratio can vary substantially. Since you seem like such a nice fan of Dattebayo's work, why not go take a look at one of their encodes? The average bitrate for their encodes is around 1Mb/s. But, watch the intro credits and lo and behold the bitrate spikes to 3Mb/s. Therefore attempting to linearly infer the total video filesize from a short, complex clip is pure folly. Nice try, troll. |

I would like the subtitles to be in white with black outlines like Toei's Slam Dunk or like the sample of NS HD when the lyrics were in English. It's easier to read.
