I've seen it asked a few times. And am afraid of the answer. But please, WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO ALL THE OTHER SHOWS ON THIS SITE? Are they gone as of Jan ??

when you get to 1080p then we'll talk since sample is similar to dattebayo's quality

Dear Shinji,

I will not mind getting Drama membership if you start streaming "Singapore" and "Hong Kong" drama that is subbed in English. I hope that you can stream the latest "Singapore drama" called "The Little Nyonya".

As for Anime membership, I will think about it if you start steaming other anime that is not mainstream like Naruto or Bleach.

Don't call me a troll you little prick. Never said I was a fan of Dattebayo either. They put h.264 into avi, which I disagree with. Which reminds me, Crunchyroll put theirs into mp4, another fail move.

Since you're obviously not going to be the adult in this, I'll cut it off here. Which is rather sad, because YOU'RE supposed to be the forum moderator. Now please, kindly shut the fuck up and at least Google something before you talk about it.

what would u suggest they use besides mp4? as far as i know, thats the only format flash player supports for h264

fail

I'm saying they shouldn't stream it at all. Streaming 720p is ridiculously stupid, just let us download the damn thing.

Besides, you can easily find the stored file from the stream in your temporary files, which many people will do, and then torrent the episodes.

Calm down. It's a Pentium 4 2GHz or equivalent.

The "minimum system recommendation" says "Intel Pentium 4 2GHz". The 4 is the architecture iteration for Intel's Pentium processor, whereas 2GHz is the recommended clock speed.

My computer has a Core2Duo 2.4GHz and the 720p version runs smoothly, using only 30% or so of one core (windows xp, flash player 9.0.124).

5.95 a month isn't bad, especially considering that you get (usually) 4 episodes of Shippuuden a month (sometimes as little as 3, sometimes as much as 5 or 6). So for you $6, you're only paying about $1.50 an episode on average. That's better than iTunes video, isn't it?

I do support your idea, but there is flaws in the design. One idea is knowing your customer. Second is knowing how to work with your costumer. You should probably re-adjust your plan considering you don't have enough content to give a service out. ~_~ WoW, Netflix and Cable TV provide hours on top of hours a month of available content how ever you lack that. Take consideration of the current economy as well. I do have some ideas that can support a more positive influence acquiring more viewers lets just say you will double the amount of viewers with my plan then yours.

Plan categorized numerically in the order to which they should be handled as a priority.

1.)Get more anime. You are also going to need to put anime movies as well because most anime series are not complete with out a massive quantities of movies to go with it.

2.)First cut the frills from the service. You need to make features people want to pay for optional with the benefit of reduction in cost for them together as well as packaged plans.

3.)You need change the monthly subscription to $2.50 (720p service + no commercials) a month with the option to download upto 4 episodes a month for $1 more to the $2.50 and 2 more additional to that for 25 cents to the monthly payment (this should rollover to 2 months after the prior then expire). But don't allow downloading immediately but a week after its 1 hour release to prevent too much chaos on the net. Anime movies are forbidden to be downloaded.

4.) Keep the frills of being a being a star member to its own venue. Such as if people want to buy frills make the frills cost its own weight. If people want a packaged deal then do this... Make it 5 dollars for everything above with the options to purchase more above.

5.)Provide a percentage discount based on what package and how long of advance pre-pay on the service. Such as if a person chooses to only go with the anime package offer a 5% discount for 3months and a 7% discount for 12 months. Then if its the double package deal provide a 7% discount for 3 months and for 12 months a 10% package deal.

Now to support my claims above I'd like to explain my reasoning. Alright reason why cost need to be adjusted this way is because your viewers are ages 15 to 28 ~_~ that age group well lets just say can barely afford the clothing they wear not always true but here it is. Your current plan only appeals to the otakus of certain anime, fanatics will go any measure to get their content but the average viewer wont. You need to learn how to entice the average viewer to provide you support or you may wind up like a dead end site or not so popular mmorpg. I want to see this site become successful and become a path way to bring more possibilities. This will be an amazing site if I see the road opened to more people.

I have tons more ideas that can make this site very prosperous but you will have to get back to me on that. I wish to help you with the development anytime I'm free to your questions and will give as much support as possible.

TTYL maybe I don't know... but consider my advice... Anyways good luck.

The quality looks great on my 46" HD LCD, would like to see it offered in 1080p eventually. I was interested in getting the membership, but nothing I really liked that they will have in HD. Even if I had to wait a week for any anime, if they offer in HD I surely would get the membership.

US $59.95 = roughly EU €45.00 or GB £40.00 give of take a couple % for market fluctuations, for 12 months membership. This is alot cheaper then WoW for those who know

No one is forcing us to pay, so why moan? Just wait 7 days!

D/L from fansubs is cool (mostly illegal ), but their days may be numbered. For example: DB will likely (dont think it is a troll this time) stop subbing Naruto Jan '09. To continue would not be good for people trying to push anime (subbed) into legit mainstream. Crunchyroll anime are (English) subbed, why would DB want to english-sub something already subbed (They may continue other language subs)? If people dont fansub, we will find it harder to find and watch English subbed anime on....youtube....veoh.... Will leechers sub themselves, i doubt it

Reason, most fansubbers, if not all, do NOT get paid. They do it so we can watch it (unless you understand Japanese, which 99% here prob dont ). D/L is becoming yesterday, lets move forward to streaming please. For watching streaming anime/Jdrama, I find streaming on my 2meg broadband & 17in LCD monitor to be more then enough. D/L the amount I watch is not an option, only for those with fast unlimited broadband. About 170-200MB per anime episode x 5 per day = 1 Gig roughly. 30 gig per month, and the ISP will prob kick me

FYI, i will be watching Naruto free 7 days after Japan release here on Crunchyroll.
I will mostly likely begin to pay Crunchy when i get Superfast Broadband, hooked up to a Fast PC, hooked up to a nice big LCD screen to watch HD

Enjoy
