Hey I can finally use the forum post function and decided that I could probably get some good feed back about growing long hair for a guy. I don't have pics now but I now have bangs or whatever you call it that are 6 inches long at the longest length. It reaches to the bottom of my nose. The rest of my hair is long proportionally but longest at the front.
BUT! I'm kinda losing hair in the process? I think my hair is thinning and I can kinda see my scalp but my hair still looks pretty good. Just afraid that it might progress till I'm bald. :(

Do you guys have any thought/experiences with growing out long hair? Tips or any thing that might comfort my fears of becoming bald? Man that would be terrible. Seriously. Let this be a long hair in progress discussion!

By the way, im perfectly healthy unless I'm inflicted with a sickness that I'm not aware about which is perfectly possible but I don't think so.

Man that balding section is super disheartening. I was hoping maybe my long hair was making it fall out. maybe someone has similar experiences? I HOPE. It's all over my head for me, not male pattern alopecia. My family isn't bald either.

must be thinning out, not balding. try not to use too many gels and stuff for your hair.

well i think long hair weight it out and the 'balding' part might just be the parting.
Try changing the way your hair parts more frequently?

Hair loss is normal. We lose a certain amount of hair everyday. You prop just didnt notice it because your hair was shorter.

Maybe your hair care products, stress or the foods you're eating are playing a part, if your hair is thinning. Maybe it's something as simple as the way your hair is parted, or the extra weight with the length. If you've never tried to let your hair grow long before, you might just not be used to how it looks or feels. I'm not an expert an these are just a few thoughts, it's hard to tell without actually seeing your hair. But If you are really concerned perhaps you should go see someone about this.

Hope all goes well
