despite why it happened everyone seems to have lost there parents

After reading this post it has also just come to my attention and has me wondering "why do most of us choose to have no parents?" Is it due to unconcious or concious desires of the mind to be indepentant from any form of autheroity(sp?). Or do we feel that a character losing their parents is very tragic and we play on this to display are own misery subtly so no one judges us. I find this topic very interesting so lets discuss it, and please make your opinions aleast a bit wordy, as I would love to grip this compleing topic more tightly to get to it's core.

i would say its cause your more free without your parents..u can do whatever u like and not have to worry about things like coming home on time or going to bed..
have u ever noticed how in an adventure story the main character never has parents?
i luv my parents..

This is my opinion

In REAL life, parents tend to be sooooooooooo annoying and tooooooooo overprotective. Who wants to be reminded by annoying parents while RP-ing

.....

I don't know about you... BUT I SURE DON'T!

hmm...well i guess it comes both ways as showing independence and a great plot line

wouldn't u just imagine if one student finds their parent's murderer or acquaintances

wouldn't it be interesting to see where will the plot go from there on, what might the students do after that, hmm?
