HUNKY ACTOR TRIES HIS DARNDEST to behave in public. But among friends, he transforms into Sweet and Tita Swarding combined, and even converses with them in flamboyant swardspeak. Once, however, HA let his pink slip show, and uttered a gay expression at a press conference: “May gano’n?” Uh-oh.

Mall world for singer

It’s a mall world for Male Crooner, who grew up in a broken home, but who can count on a major mall chain as a regular venue for his concerts. Why? MC’s mom is allegedly the “girlfriend” of the mall owner.

Direk’s true colors

Everyone thought Macho Director was happily hetero because he is married. But one night he got drunk and seduced a male talent! This is not really surprising, considering MD’s past as secret lover of gay Show Biz Executive.

Kapuso for others

Kapuso stars recently volunteered to join a network project for needy children all over the country.

“Unang Hirit” hosts Lynn Ching and Regine Tolentino spent one Saturday morning in a hot warehouse, helping pack school bags for the 3-Pid Handog Edukasyon Program, a project of P&G and GMA Kapuso Foundation. The goal is to give school supplies to more than 30,000 first graders.

“It’s always a good feeling to know you’re helping, especially kids because we’re both mothers,” Lynn and Regine agreed.

Kiko Rustia of “[url=http://www.survivor-philippines.com]Survivor Philippines,” Pauleen Luna and Roberto “Buboy” Villar witnessed firsthand how much this simple gift means to kids when they visited one of the beneficiary schools, Dampalit Elementary in Malabon.

“It sad to see how much they lack,” said Pauleen Luna.

“It’s just school supplies (bags, notebooks, pencils, erasers, crayons) and yet you can see how happy it’s made them!” Kiko Rustia noted as he played with the kids. “These kids need people to believe in them. That’s where we come in. We need to lift them up. I’m very thankful to the sponsors of this project. If I had one wish, it would be to have more people [like them].”

Sarah smiles

Sarah Geronimo is Sony Ericsson’s first Brand Ambassador for the Philippines. She starts her tour of duty with the launch of the Smile Shutter technology and the new Sony Ericsson C510 Cyber-shot phone.

The 20-year-old singer/actress said her new designation was “unexpected, but quite a privilege.” She explained, “Sony Ericsson’s global brand ambassador is Maria Sharapova, the tennis superstar.”

Sarah will also be involved in campaigns for the SE Walkman line of music phones. “We’re confident that [she] will draw people to our products,” said marketing manager Patrick Larraga.

One more for Angel

Another favorite endorser is Angel Locsin, and she recently got another one: the FH (Folded and Hung) Summer Collection, which includes swimwear.

Dancing castoff

LOS ANGELES—A high-scoring command performance couldn’t keep Denise Richards on “Dancing With the Stars.”

The 38-year-old actress was eliminated from the hit ABC television dance competition on Tuesday.

“My daughters love my dancing,” Richards said after she was eliminated. “It’s been fun. I’m a huge fan of the show and I will continue to be.”
