2006 chevy cobalt LS

I just bought this car a few days ago and im ready to start tuning. One of the first things that had to go was the small stock spoiler/wing. My question is will a cobalt SS spoiler fit on my LS? A lot of their dimensions are different so i would like to know it it is going to fit before i buy the new spoiler.

Just trade in your LS for a newer SS. I can't think of a reason to even tune an Cobalt for that matter an LS whatsoever.

I have a 6 speed manual transmission and I dont really know too much about cars.
I am in the process of getting worked done on my spec v but one thing Ive noticed is
my car tends to shift hard, not to mention I really gotta push it into 3rd. I dont really have an
issue with any other gears, I am planning on getting a transmission flush but any other
thing i should look into?

also how easy/hard is doing a transmission flush on ur own?

a lot of people are simply hellhappy over the timeattack cobalt taking out Yamada's R32GTR.

The cobalt had just as much $$$ put into it as the R32 (if not a great deal more) and hooray... Chevy FINALLY beats an over 17yr old car.

but again, just with that little victory, the FnF pun "Muscle always beat import" is solidified.

problem:1. my on dash screen is fuzzy, 2. the engine sounded like a tank when idiling, 3. i lost the srs airbag system, 4. lost auto-locking when driving, 5. the car look lump- sided and 6. the drive shaft bracket is lost. my question is how much for the parts and may i get the step-by-step iremoval and installation instructions for these parts

Do I absolutely need a special tool to bend brake line (hard line)? Some say by hand it's fine, others say the tool is necessary. What do you guys think?

If you want it done right, use the tool. By bending it by hand, you're creating a weak point by using a single point to bend the line. Using the tool puts pressure around the area, not stressing the point, and making a bend.

I'm not sure if this is exactly the best place to ask this, but I've been given the run-around everywhere I go, so I might as well try here, too.

2005 Ford Mustang (entirely stock)

I want a simple way to use my iPod Touch (incompatible with most devices used for regular iPods) with my car stereo. Currently the stock car stereo does not have any auxiliary jack that I know of. Realizing this, I've come to the conclusion that I either need an FM transmitter or an entirely new sound system.

First, does anyone have experience with the iPod FM transmitters that are compatible with the iPod Touch (if one such exists)? Is the quality bearable? Does it cut out a lot?

Secondly, if I do decide to replace the stereo, can anyone recommend a site for car audio so I can begin looking for a replacement stereo. My single concern is having my iPod work, so CD/Tape/MP3 compatibility is useless to me. Also is there an easy way for me to know if my car has an amplifier? Best Buy has told me they would charge an extra $200 on an installation if my car has an amplifier, so this is crucial knowledge.

hmm, i see, lets start off with something simple does you stock stereo have a tape cassette player?
if it does, im pretty sure radioshack or walmart has a tape cassette audio to line in converter that plugs into your ipod touch (or any other mp3 player for that matter).
basically what it is, is a cassette tape (that is obviously put into the tape player) that has an audio line that plugs into your ipod like a set of headphones would.

as for the fm transmitters, they should work, but i don't recommend them, i find them quite crappy after having bad experiences with ones i had bought in the past, (other channels interfering with my transmitter)

Get a new stereo or a tape converter.

I've had a FM transmitter for my old Zen. Honestly, it sucked for multiple reasons. Finding a clear unused FM channel may be hard. Having it clearly transmit from your mp3 player to radio usually never happens. Often it's static-y.

I've used a tape converter on my Zen and it works alot better and you can get them off ebay for under $10.

Hmm can I drift with stock suspension or is it vital to get coilovers? because I want to try drifting (once i sell my rims, don't want to ruin expensive rims wen practicing) and if I like the sport maybe invest more money in it.


Also, how much is it to fix a car frame? Because the right front wheel is slightly more front than the left front wheel (by the width of my pinky finger) and although I don't have any problems driving, i'm afraid it might affect the car performance once I start drifting

You can drift on stock suspension. I would actually suggest you do so, so when you upgrade suspension, you feel and understand the difference. If you're going to be drifting consistently, I suggest buying cheap yet reputable rims such as 5zigen fn01rcs. They're less than $200 a wheel up to 17x10, and $200+ for everything above that.

When one wheel is set more forward and backward to the other side, it's called setback. Most likely, it's not the car frame that's causing setback, it may be a bent control arm. If the setback is a difference of your pinky, the effect on performance may be negligent.

i think your clutch is giving out on you. gotta buy a new one or bring it to the shop take out the clutch in the transmission and replace it.
