LemonyPanda wrote: how do you get that woooosh turbo sound on your car? (not with that fake turbo whistler lol) Whats the point of putting nos on your car? is it legal? is it hard to install? (i live in cali btw) The woosh sound as u call it is either turbo spool up or the BOV goin off after u let off the gas. Nos is an oxidizer it allows you to ad more fuel to the combustion chamber and burn it more completly = more horspower Usualy no its no illegal to have on your car but then agian you live in cali and pretty much every thing is illegal in cali so im not sure on that one. A single stage nos set up is usualy pretty easy to install depending on your aplication and fairly cheap bang for your buck but its not much use for normal daily driving applications. Also it has a tendancy to cause your engine to run lean when in use so you may need a FMU or = to compisate. not 100% on this IMO unless u drag on the weekends or have a semi serous track car dont bother with Nitrous. |

If the evo u buy is turboed then yes. but depending on what BOV u have on it or buy for it they make different sounds. Some make a fluttering sound some make more of a whistling sound. |

I even asked a guy in school and he said something about getting a lot of dust and leaves in your engine, something about how you have to take the filter out...idk he was really vague about it. I heard that some are illegal in california? not sure if this is true...some say its illegal but some say that its legal in all 50 states...which is it? |

Cali has the strictest modification laws in the states. Most engine and suspension modifications has to be DOT approved for street use in California. Thus you have to carry around papers for every modification you have to prove it's legal. |

LemonyPanda wrote: where do i get it approved? at the DMV? and is nos system legal in california too xD Most parts you receive will be DOT approved from the aftermarket manufacturer. I'm going to say no on nitrous. But the aluminum nitrous bottles are DOT approved, so it might be possible. |

Yes if u have a turbo set up you want to have a bov on your seystem. It will let the un wanted excess pressure vent off insted of backing up and possably blowing seals or damaging your turbo. Bov's dont suck air so i dont know what the guy in your school was talking about . |
