First off, what kind of car is it?
Secondly I doubt that something is loose, because if something is loose, it would remain loose regardless of whether the car is warm or cold.
Some more information may help.

Yeah you gotta let us know what kinda engine it is. Could be a lot of different things stuff depending on if it's carb or FI.

is a toyota celica any good? it looks last generation ( think 7th) one loks pretty cool and is pretty cheap. o and whats a supercharged engine?

A supercharger is basically just another form of forced induction, like turbos. Except they don't use the exhaust gas to spin the turbine. There's multiple types, but they all use the crankshaft to make power. Atleast, that's the general knowledge about superchargers.

hmm not quite a fix it question but a what should i do with the car

i have a 2002-03 toyota 1.5ltr echo hatchback which has done over 350kms. the engine is still able to run but i am worried that it would die on me in a matter of time.

the question is what type of engine should i replace it so it has a little more kick then the stock engine. a friend of mine told me to stick with a toyota based engine such as a corolla or mr2

also in replacing a totally different engine, what other problems would arise from it such as checking the body condition in case of any cracks or weaknesses

i am looking for a good balance between power and handling, preferably handling and have a comfy and good street ride.

a cold air intake is like taking the air from outside and using it to increase the power of the engine.
like a normal intake it'll sit inside your engine bay and be hooked up with the air flow chamber to the engine.
now the things that suck about it. lol

like the one i have right now. which is an ARC intake it makes a sucking noise that gets really really annoying.
and well if its raining and stuff well water may or may not get into the foam that it has and well get water in the engine.
which is bad

I'm not the expert, but here's what I would do.

I don't know how much, or for what car, but maybe 1K or more (I could be wrong) would get you some decent hardware for the motor. Turbos respond best with intake/exhaust upgrades, such as intake, header, exhaust, muffler, etc. This route is relatively cheap and simple. Next step could be upgrading the intercooler. The colder the air, the denser it is, the more power you get. Along with that, a nitrous spray set up for the intercooler also helps. Also getting a boost controller to raise the boost is another option, just be careful not to over boost it. Body kit prices and install rates are too varied to give an estimate. The best way to put it is: you get what you pay for.

I have a slight issue that I am trying to figure out and any advice would be appreciated. The car is a 2004 Subaru WRX. The car was running a solid 1.1 bar of boost perfectly fine for a long time. However, recently the boost is fluctuating between .5 and .9 bar of boost. I have done the following: checked for vacuum leaks, boost leaks, check the boost solenoid, replace the restrictor pill, and scanned the OBII using an ACCESSport but have found no problems. Anyone have an idea what the issue could be? Thanks.

Upgrade what? There's alot of things to upgrade on an engine. Cams, pistons, head flow, valves, etc.

Starting off, I'd get the ECU retuned and get a 3" exhaust.

Get your hands on a smoke leak detector. Fill your engine with smoke and see where it comes out.
