In 2006, a cafe based on Nodame Cantabile opened in Harajuku, Tokyo, including live music from the live-action drama and sets from the show.

just wanted 2 add :D
Cafe de Nodame, adopting the heroine's nickname, which is a shortened form of Noda Megumi, has been set up at Tribeca restaurant in the b6 building in Harajuku.

Its highlight is "Nodame Beya," a room carefully recreated to look just like the lead character's messy room as seen in the drama.

From the show, we know that Nodame is talented as a pianist, but is terrible at keeping rooms clean. So her "room" is crammed full of stuffed garbage bags, cardboard boxes and other items.

The temporary cafe has a special menu that re-creates the dishes seen in the drama and the original manga series, including Nodame's cream stew.

Events for classical music fans have also been organized. On Mondays, some members from the "Nodame Orchestra," specially formed for the TV drama, give performances at the restaurant.

"I think both the original manga and TV drama have helped change the image that the world of classical music is a hard one for people to enter," said Rina Odera, a violinist of the orchestra. "As orchestra members, we want to do our best to convey to people the joy of classical music."

A team of Fuji TV employees came up with the idea of opening the cafe in July. The team, which is in charge of special campaigns to promote the TV series, comprises staffers who consider themselves to be original fans of the comic book series.

The team members asked about 100 eating and drinking establishments in Tokyo for cooperation. Tribeca official Junko Noda readily agreed, saying it would be an exciting project providing stimulation for the program, its viewers and the restaurant.

Attending the cafe's opening ceremony, actress Juri Ueno, who plays Nodame, told reporters: "I'm so happy that this cool cafe has opened. I'd like to come again and try out the menu for myself."

The cafe will operate in its current form until Dec. 25.
