I'm surprised nobody mentioned La Vie En Rose by Edith Piaf. Edith Piaf has this voice that really reverberates and this is probably her most famous song. There have been a ton of covers, including an English version by Louis Armstrong. For a good contemporary version, I recommended Emilie Simon's rendition of La Vie en Rose. Great ethereal pop sound, really!

I also really liked Je Pense a Toi, the version sung by Axel Reid.

Yup Champs Elysees is definitely a classic (NoFX covered it!), but I also heard this one song in my French class that goes something like "Il y a un elephant sur mon balcon..." (There's an elephant on my balcony) Can't remind the title, a children's song. Freakin catchy though
