crunchyroll changed

don't tell me,it's gonna get other sites licensed too

If you mean by licensing, crunchyroll will be acting as the legal agent to protect the anime production companies and the anime studios from having their copyrighted intellectual properties, the anime series, stolen by the internet fansub groups and their supporters, then release them as illegitimate fansubs. Which then get distribute unregulated over the internet, and thus overpopulating the legit licensed anime media market by replacing the demand with illegitimate fansubs. My answer would be yes, that's exactly what crunchyroll must do in order to make sure that the anime artists, script writers, animators, voice actors, musicians, directors, producers, and all the people that were involved in making anime get paid for their works. Anime didn't grow on trees, people need to get paid well to make great anime.

paying to watch anime here is still cheaper than buying Badly dubbed American DVD's. most aren't available to buy in my country anyway. so i don't really have a problem with the way the sites changed.
and as the poster above said the creators still need to get paid.

yah in my opinion the CR changed ..it became worse ….now no fan subbing & I guess they will delete their storage of the anime that already has been uploaded ..but most of good animes are licensed anyway… but you know
anyway but my biggest problem is that CR decided to sub some certain animes & cuz of that the fan subbing teams consider them licensed now so no more subbing & that means no more anime download & no more archiving for me all what I could say now is goodbye Skip beat

Don't you know that Skip Beat! is one of the anime series that will be licensed by crunchyroll with this new change:

yah I know about that…. that’s exactly what's bothering me now skip beat is licensed by CR the fan sub group will stop subbing therefor there is no download any more so (goodbye archiving) & now I can only stream on the CR there is no downed & if they establish 1 I'm afraid that we have to pay to download for every single ep

Do you know that by downloading illegitimate fansubs, you are possessing illegal properties stolen form the anime studios by the internet fansub groups and their supporters. And can get you in trouble with the law:

.

no my country has no problem with that I guess so I won't get in trouble & downloading fan sub version is the only way for my to get anime cuz legal anime DVDs are not available where I am & even if I thought about buy from Amazon the shipping fee will cost me a fortune non mentioning that I have to wait for only god knows for my anime to get licensed so I could buy it & even if I have to ignore the fact that I have to pay all that money for the horrible dub maybe you might say I could use the set up to change the audio to Jap but not all the DVDs have that option so the way I see it fan sub is the only way for me to get subbed anime

Yes it's changed into a business that gives less choice and to add insult to injury, gives that lack of choice with soft-subs instead of hard subs.

I'll be gratefull for any subs from unpaid fansubbers but with proper subs, paid for by memberships and advertising this is really bad.

Yet another one that would steal for her greedy instant self-gratification, and didn't know that she could be breaking international copyright treaty with every illegitimate fansub that she downloaded.

Here is a list of countries which have signed and ratified one or more multilateral international copyright treaties as of today(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_parties_to_international_copyright_treaties):

Now, when you count how many out of the 5 international treaties that your country had signed, and Japan had signed all 5 of them, that's the agreements between Japan and your country's governments to uphold copyright act within their jurisdiction. Once your government find out about your illegal internet download, as well as upload activities by checking your internet access records from your ISP, they'll have all the evidences they need to charge you with their criminal law. Because copyright infringement is the same as stealing intellectual properties that weren't yours.

So when you disrespect the law, nothing else you just said matters. When you disrespect the anime production companies and the anime studios by stealing from them, you're only hurting them with your greed. And when you disrespect your own safety and your own actions by telling lies, nothing you said about licensed anime DVD are true, because you never had one before.

Hard subs, soft subs, it doesn't matter when you still don't have the right to steal from the anime production companies and the studios. And after the change, crunchyroll will have legal right to show legit anime series online for free worldwide after one week from the series' initial run on Japan TV networks. What is your point.

well with this move cr made most fansubs will mostlikely get caught and shut down, but the quality of the 720 players is amazing about as good has hd on plasma or lcd screen, and u could try to get it for free with the thing on the link. well i like it but yes most anime that we all like would be here and the other ones that they can't get there hands on will never be able to be seen if the fansubs get shut down but u can theres a good and a bad well i predict that there will be a new site like the current cr. thought it ganna get shut down quick. i hope i can learn enough japanese to watch it raw like if it was my first language instead of relying on fansubs.

i don't mind this as long as cr will legalize it with all the companies in japan that has all the anime that we would like, like how it is now with fansubs but will get it legalize and then there will nothing we can complain about other than waiting 3 days longer for an ep than usual if we don't got membership, can't wait till i get my job then i will have unlimited excess to this. and also better video quality even if ur not a member, but member gets alot better ones. plz every1 support this.

Regardless of subbed or raw, they are all illegal copyright infringed materials and therefore they're not yours. And the anime production companies and the anime studios won't get paid when you steal from them, even with raw.

Have you guys ever thought that this site takes alot of money to run . Have you ever thought even tho we watch fansubs that a lot of people who work in the anime industry are suffering because we do this. I love fansub's, but I think I'll support the fact that paying people to watch anime from Japan which usually, sometimes, takes decades to license, and haft of them don't get picked up. What I'm saying is I think it's a better deal for not only peoples jobs but ourselves to accept the new change. If you don't want to pay that fine, you just have to wait a little longer but thats better then waiting years and years for it to be licensed.

yes it has changed, but the part i hate the most is that they took away the manga!!! (but that was before i had an account but still!!!)
