Do u think asians who grew up in america, europe, australia or canada tends to look down on native asians?
Growing up in western countries,do u think they feel superior to asians from the mother land.
This covers areas from friendship to dating and casual chat.
What are your thoughts?

Well, the thing is, native Asians, well they aren't exactly...clever...when it comes to Language Arts and speaking English. Which, according to my friends, gets on peoples nerves when they can't pronounce word correctly. Personally, I have a friend who is from Korea who isn't very good at English but I don't look down on her at all...and this other guy in my class is great at math, he probably looks down on ME.

Well i can't be sure about the other countries in asia but singapore is an english speaking countries with history that roots back to the british colonial, queen english to be specific.
Of course there are people who can't speak proper english but still their's is better than the other asian countries.

yes cuz my cousins always make fun of cheesy game shows and how we have different clothe styles. this is towards flips. i kinda do look down on the flips...so don't hate. take advatage of ur oppurunity even if it means going to the US. rather live in canada. the acting and actors are so gay. the movies are gay. their dramas are gay. mainly this is towards the filipino entertainment.

PS...until i find and buy me a manny pacquio shirt. i shall look down on you flips.

i want the red one so damn bad.

Well, I used to be influenced by peers to look down on them, but I do have some friends that come from various Asian countries and I have matured, so i guess i don't judge them, but instead treat them like a peer. Although I believe them to be smarter than me by a lot, :p, like my cousin who just came to the U.S. ^_^

I find that foreign-born Asians tend to look down on their native kin, especially where I live. It's as if foreign-born Asians want to completely cut ties to their origin or something. All my American-born Asian friends are like that, and make fun of native Asian styles, accents, mannerisms, etc etc.

I only see older native Asians looking down on foreign-born Asians. Mostly middle-aged native Asians and older.

uh ignorance.
Pardon me but i'm really surprise by how many people think singapore is some 3rd world nation.
Some even say singapore is in china[thinks trevor]

We have gdp on par with western europe and our system is very much like scandinavia minus the welfare.

Put in simple,we took only 40plus years since indepence from a thrid world colonise nation to a first world country.
