Louise from Zero no Tsukaima

she cant be considered british, she came from Tristania. Gallia is france, Germania is germany. Albion is most likely considered britain even if its small, Albion is greek for Britain. also guy in anime Cromwell is named after a guy in britan history called Oliver Cromwell who went agasint monarchy. Romalia is italy. so that makes Tristania more like belgium. making louise from belgium not britain

Furthermore Louise Françoise le Blanc de la Valieré is about as french of a name as you can get...

Everyone applicable in Black Butler, November 11 from Darker than Black (and by default, I like to assume July is British even though he's just a doll), and Near.

Thanks! Didn't think anyone would remember her... as far as I know, "Gosick" isn't that well known.

Given that her family is nobility, it is also unlikely they emigrated from Gallia any time in recent history.

As an aside, the Wikia for the series has a graphic map of the countries:

Although most of it is covered by one of the invasion route arrows, the island of Britain isn't part of Britannia, but rather the European Union.

There was a backstory (which I don't know if it is official or not), that it was lost due to invasion shortly after the colonies in the new world (i.e., North America) were established, and the royalty fled there. (That would also explain Australia not being shown as part of Britannia, as the first British claim of territory there didn't happen until a few years after the U.S. declaration of independence).

In any event, in the Code Geass universe, Lelouch is no more British than someone whose family emigrated to the U.S. from England several generations ago would be.

Southern Belgium is primarily French-speaking and many people living there have french names, I believe that this would be a fair assumption of where her family originates.
