Kaname can't kill Rido because it's impossible. If you still can't accept it, here's the one concrete reason why--
Rido is his (Kaname's) master who awakened him from his grave, making him unable to kill his 'master'.

I'll don't want to waste any time. When you get older in life, you'll try to understand about the true facts whether it's a fictional story or in politics. Kaname had to do something to get Rido out of his and Yuuki's (his fiancee's) life once and for all. My apologies to you.

Tony.. i know what u mean.. yups by anime.. kanamen cant kill rido cuz of their bloodline thing and somemore last time rido woke kaname thing..and their also related...
Cherry.. i oso fully understand that u dun like the fact the kaname used zero.. but thats how the story goes.. we cant change the fact..
but kaname n zero.. after vampire knight n Guilty.. They juz wan to protect Yuki..

People, CHILL.
It is true that Kaname cannot kill Rido all by himself, and he HAD to use someone else to do so, he had not other choice. My personal opinion, though, it is the best to solve your own problem WITHOUT interfering with other people, or at least, give something back to the person you have used. Regardless of how forced the situation he was in, Kaname has been owing Zero a sincere gratitude and apologize.
Plus, Kaname, you have Yuuki going with you at the end! What's so hard to give Zero a thank you? D8< HM? xD

Well Shizuka did mention something about Kaname walking a sinister path right after she was about to die. I think that's what she said but I'm not to sure. we got all types of love goin on in VK, like Shizuka and her ex-human lover (possible for ZeroxYuuki), pureblood and pureblood (Juri and Haruka), Nolbe and Noble (ShikixRima?), so there are endless possibilities (I'm just bored ppl so deal with my stupid reasoning). We will just have to wait for the next manga, I remember seeing Kaname saying "Yuuki....." then walk off while Yuuki stands there looking at Zero holding Ichiru.

why Zero or Kaname?...it's just a matter of taste and there's no accounting for taste(everybody is free to like what he wants!)
personally i prefer Zero and i don't feel the need to explain what...also i like Kaname too(i think to love Zero doesn't necessarily means to hate Kaname!)

I choose Kaname. Kaname saved Yuuki when she was very small. Zero wasn't there. I know Zero protects her too and he's hott as well, but Yuuki needs Kaname when she becomes a pureblood vampire. She'll need help how to control her powers and how to use them. Zero can't help her with that. So in the end its Kaname and Yuuki who should be together. I love Kaname and he's awesome!!! Don't get me wrong though...I love Zero too!
