Yes.
The membership is just to get the premium stuff, like early viewing and HD-quality. For the free account, we would just have to wait a week to watch the show, which is not so bad, considering that it is still somewhat free.

Isn't BAD? Are you kidding?
I'm not trying to encourage pirating but honestly, if you feel like waiting a week for a new episode of anime to come out, then another week to for CR to show it to us for FREE then what the fuck? 2 weeks for 20 minutes or so of footage?

IF YOU TORRENT SOMETHING, IT TOO WILL BE HIGH-DEFINITION SINCE MOST ARE
like many people always say when they argue against me "If you are an anime fan, waiting an extra week from the original week wont hurt you"... Well... waiting a day for it to be subbed and maybe 1-2 hours or more depending on internet connection and saving money at the same time shouldnt hurt as well.

Btw, if you think about it, paying 6 dollars a month may not sound much (which will later be 12dollars) but what is being paid for is ridiculous. Whats been free for SO long, is suddenly turning into something you need to pay for.
If you are like me and only like certain genres, there is definitely going to be a problem. Not everything they offer you that will be LEGALLY subbed will be something that appeals to you. Meaning there really is no point waiting so long for something so simple that you can get somewhere else 1 week earlier. Almost EVERYTHING on this site right now is FANSUBBED, not including companies like Gonzo. Meaning those shows will be taken off but may be picked up.... maybe.

If im wrong, feel free to correct me. Maybe the way im seeing this is completely off, again this is just my opinion.

None of the anime here was suppose to be free in the first place so nobody should complain for 6-12 dollars compared to how much it costs to buy one series

Well if you think about it, its only 6-12 dollars FOR NOW and thats for a fricken month
theres only 1 episode a week... thats not even close to watching a series

Even if its not supposed to be free, it is
I don't see the point you are trying to make

Its true its only one ep but of multyle series if the ones they put dont happen to be the ones u like well then too bad.
And u said "Whats been free for SO long, is suddenly turning into something you need to pay for" ur making all this sound like its unfair its true that u and many more including me have been watching it on the internet for free, but it was never intended to be free so its illegal isnt it? here theyre only asking u for 6-12 dollars but ull be able to watch them 1 hour after japan release it and its not illegal

The Download To Own HD anime files will all have ID information embedded in them, therefore when the files got leaked out illegally, they can be all traced back to the original account that made the first download. These anti-piracy measures were all explained as a part of this crunchyroll public address: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/convention/2008/anime-expo/keynote-address-vu-nguyen-crunchyroll

There are just some people out there who are so drunk in their greedy instant self-gratification, they're morally corrupted. They don't believe in themselves anymore and thus, they don't care what happens to themselves. They think that's just how free they are, but all they really become are a bunch of shallow ghosts. They'll make noises, but their words are hollow without truth.

This does not affect me in any way. There are plenty of other anime sites and torrents for my anime needs.

On a side note, who the hell in the right mind would pay money just to watch anime earlier than everyone else? You must me some retarded spoiled rich kid with nothing better to do with your money.....might as well give your money to me if your gonna waste it on some retarded subsciption like this.

I could see 6 dollars a month for subbed versions of anime that I want to watch instantly within an hour of its release in Japan. Also they would have to let me download them, so that I can watch them when I am unable to log onto the internet. I do not want a torrent. I want it to be FTP, so I don't have to wait days for each episode.

Also, they would have to have any and all anime I would happen to want to watch at the time. Which is many, many series.

With the current listing of anime I have no intention of paying money to view them early or in a resolution I could download from a random site, such as Megaupload and Rapidshare. There is only one show worth time in the current (at least for myself) list of anime. That show is Time of Eve. Which is almost done, and is only released once every 2 months.

So you rather steal from the anime companies than pay for a subscription that can help support them and FYI I'm paying for an subscription and I'm not rich nor spoiled.

I find this article freaks me out. Because it confirms almost all of my earlier predictions about crunchyroll.

I know this is amazing I can't wait I hope some of the 100 titles they mention in this article will be Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou, Clannad After Story, and Kuroshitsuji.

Don't let him get to you, he's just one of those jerk who likes to be rude because he thinks that's how cool he was. He won't find any illegitimate fansubs even if he tried once he leaves, because crunchyroll will just C & D the internet until it's rid off stolen anime.

I find it hard to believe that internet hackers would bother themselves with stealing anime, when they can't even steal the whole internet.

LOL since when is watching free fan subs stealing from the company? Dam....you must be one of those retarded spoiled brats in my stereotype. No company subs them so thats why fans sub them. So in the end, its not like the company is losing profits from fansubs in the first place because most people who don't know Japanese wouldn't even watch anime if it wasn't for the fansubs.

To the second retard who quoted my post: You really think I won't find any fansubs for other animes? Boy you must have missed out the whole article of how Crunchyroll is only bringing in a few profesionally subbed animes. Besides, I'm not a Narutard so I couldn't care less about those lame animes on this site.
