Does your family have a certain christmas tradition you have in Christmas ?

Feel free to share some tradition explanations or experiences.
Since I don't have any traditions due to personal reasons I'd like to hear some general talk about your christmas traditions.

C'mon, share some

1) Watch crappy Christmas TV.
2) Be a bit miffed and complain when all the Appletise has been drunk by someone but yourself.
3) The after dinner silence.
4) The dividing up of the presents, the unwrapping and the false "Thank Yous" that you dont really mean seeing as you recieved like 6 Deodorants from your Mum.

(If I see one of these things this year ill grit my teeth and let out a mini muffled scream)

We put up a tree that never has presents under it since we don't celebrate Christmas. But have it there anyway, wasting electricity because it's pretty and because my brother cried for one when he was a kid.

Christmas tree's are wonderful. :)) I like it how they're decorated. Simple tree can be nice looking with some colored balloons etc. combined with candles

We put the tree up and add lots of lights!!!! Then we go shopping on Black Friday [day after Thanksgiving] and then wrap and stuff under the tree. Then we hang our stockings and eat christmas cookies and sing songs until X-mas eve and then we get to open on present. [I usually got and exchanges gifts with my friends on this day too] and then we go to bed [not sleep] and get up early to open presents and then eat ham and stuff for lunch. Then we go over to my grandparents for more presents and dinner!!

My family always goes to my moms side of the family at our aunt and uncles house, we meet the all out other cousins, grandparents etc, there and stay till about a bit after dinner. Then we head off to church and after that meet my dads side of the family at our house and open some presents. Then it's off to bead until the jolly red man comes at night. After that we just open presents.
