- According to the Manga -

Disclaimer: I do not own Gakuen Alice.

"Ne, Natsume-kun!" A cheerful brunette ran over to the boy seated under the Sakura tree, reading a shounen manga.

Mikan Sakura, your normal teenage girl. Natsume Hyuuga, your normal teenage heart throb.

Mikan ran over to Natsume, grinning at him, "Let's go to Central Town! Hotaru wouldn't go with me..."

The boy didn't look up from the book, "No."

"WHAT?!" she yelled.

"Tch, be quiet, idiot. I'm reading here."

"Hmph." she pouted, reaching out and grabbing the book from his hands. She grinned like the Chesire Cat.

The boy, on the other hand, looked deadly. Nobody, I mean NOBODY, interrupted him from reading his manga.

The girl, oblivious to the deadly aura emitting from her companion, if you could call him a companion, flipped from page to page in the book.

"Give it back, Polka." Menace could be heard in his voice.

"Tut, tut, tut, Natsume-kun. Let me at least look through it!"

The boy stood up swiftly, grabbing back his belonging.

Poor Mikan's hair was burned to a crisp, at least it was only the tip of her pigtail.

Mikan Sakura headed back to her dorm, pouting and frowning all the way.

"What is it with Natsume! He's so annoying! And what's so great about that manga?!" (YOU are in a manga, Mikan-chan...)

Koko, who was passing by, snickered, "Are you jealous of a book, Mikan-chan?"

Mikan huffed at him, "Of course not!"

She walked quickly past him, frowning as she heard his quiet snickers.

She reached her dorm, opening the door and flopped on her bed.

"Hm... What can I do to make him to Central Town with me? How can I change that jerky attitude of his?"

Then, she thought of it. If you couldn't beat it, join it. And that was when Mikan Sakura decided to become a full-pledge mangaka.

It was dead late in the night, but if you heard hard enough, you could hear faint noises of erasures and a pencil sketching.

Poor Mikan, pencil in hand, eraser in the other, was working non-stop to complete her first-ever manga. And it was pretty good, by the way.

It was about a cheerful brunette girl and a handsome, yet jerky raven-haired boy. The boy was a jerk and also a bit (okay, maybe a lot) perverted, but cared about the girl in his own way. Insulting was that way.

The girl was pretty and nice, but she was also a bit (okay, maybe a lot) loud.

Now the boy and the girl had their misunderstandings, but they would always make up in the end, and they turned out to be good friends, if not teasing ones.

Familiar? Check out the ending.

As Mikan finished the last page of her manga, she shot her arm up in the air, her hand curled into a fist, and shouted, "Eureka!"

Boy, was Natsume going to have the day of his life tomorrow.

Mikan hurriedly ran to her homeroom class with Mr. Narumi, carrying a stack of papers with drawings in boxes on it. It was stapled and secure.

As usual, our little brunette bumped into our little firecaster.

"Watch it Polka."

"Oof!" Mikan said, as she fell flat on the floor. She picked up her manga draft first, then all her other books.

Natsume eyed the stack of papers in her hand with curiosity, "Oi, what's that?"

Mikan smirked, "S-E-C-R-E-T."

Natsume looked pissed for a moment, then turned around, "Tch. Whatever." And he walked away.

Mikan then hurried back to her task of running to class, papers and books secured in her arms.

She burst through the door, heaving in and out, "I-I'm sorry Narumi-sensei!"

Her teacher just gave her a smile and told her to go to her seat. She was just relieved that it wasn't Jinno-sensei's class.

Mikan sat on her seat, beside Natsume, whose manga was on his face.

She placed a hand on her stack of papers, placing it beside her other books. But she didn't notice the pair of crimson eyes staring at the papers with curiosity. She smiled at Natsume and her other seat mate, Ruka Nogi, who was also Natsume's best friend.

"Good morning!"

Ruka smiled at her, "Good morning, Sakura-san."

No response from Natsume.

FAST FORWARD

The day passed quickly and Mikan stood up from her seat, gathering her books. Unfortunately, she had forgotten to bring her manga draft with her, and she left it on her desk.

Ruka had left earlier, he had to go to a school council meeting. So it was only Natsume left in the room, the others had already left.

He lazily stood up, not before eyeing the stack of papers on Mikan's desk with interest.

He checked to look if anyone was watching, and picked it up. He read the manga with lighting fast speed.

The end amused him and he smirked. The story seemed familiar. And he knew who the characters were.

Mikan had just realized she had left the manga on her desk and came running back, when she entered the room, it was empty, the stack of papers on her desk.

She sighed in relief. Good thing nobody read it yet. She picked it up and ran out of the classroom.

After her lunch, she ran over to Hotaru.

Hotaru Imai, Mikan's best friend, was a cold emotionless girl, who cared for her friend a lot, but never showed it.

Hotaru looked at her best friend, "Oi, idiot. Hyuuga's calling for you."

Mikan looked surprised. Why would he call her? She knew right where he would be.

She ran quickly enough towards the Sakura tree. True enough, Natsume was under the tree, but no manga in hand.

Mikan approached him in confusion, "Why did you call me?"

He looked up at her and pushed her back towards the tree, "Tch. Finally you came, I was waiting."

Mikan blushed red like a tomato, what was going on? Yet this scene seemed familiar.

"Know what?"

She was silent.

"I'm so dumb. I can't believe I've fallen for a crazy, idiotic, childish girl."

Mikan's eyes widened. She remembered now. This all happened in her manga. And she knew what was coming next.

She felt warm lips crash onto her own, and she bit back a moan.

They separated due to the need of air.

She smiled, "I love you too." All according to the manga. Mikan smiled again.

She knew what she would be when she grew up.
