Sighing in relief from leaving her room, Camilla made her way back to the room Shima last occupied, a few minutes afterward arriving after the sea woman.
"Sounded like the dhampir had a fit," the succubus joked.
"A royal hissy fit, at that," Camilla rolled her eyes, the girl's screaming at her freezing the candles over annoying the dhampir to no end. Shima lightly smiled, her eyes glazing over.
"How did it go?"
"Noel will now go after Regia since Klad was kidnapped. We are to stay here," Camilla stated, rather disappointed she could not leave and fight.
"I heard. So, how long do you think it will take for the human to come up here and face him?"
Camilla leaned on the wall, concentrating on Shima's question. "Don't know. But if that wind user get the message to him fast, I'll just speed it up."
"Remember that Noel will only fight him."
Camilla sighed and rubbed the bridge of her nose. "Yes, that is what annoys me the most. However, I'm told to stay out of it, unfortunately."
Shima tittered. "I want to see how long your patience will last." Camilla narrowed her eyes at the general.
"Do you not rely on me that much?" she inquired.
"No, I just want to see how this will play out," Shima answered, winking and leaving in a flash.
Camilla rolled her eyes, rolling back her head and fixating on the blank ceiling. "Let's see."

Filling the bath for the twentieth time and filling it to the brim with liquid soap, Silver dipped into the tub, lying back as the hot water cascaded over the rim and seeping into the drain of the pristine white floor. She hated it, along with the ivory tub that stood on legs shaped like lion's feet; she hated the white bathroom and elegant bedroom she was forced to live in; she wanted out. Along with that, no matter how much water she used, there always seemed to be more, as if trying to use up the entire water supply on the floating country was impossible.
Scrubbing her body and face clean, she pulled on the plug, the water draining from the tub as she turned on more water to clean the suds off.
"I can't stand this anymore," she muttered bitterly, wrapping an egg white, plush towel around her still slim body. Even though signs of pregnancy still wouldn't show up for another few months, it felt strange to feel nothing going on with her body. "Shima!" she cried, drying her hair and putting on a white dress with sleeves going down to her wrists with the bodice, sleeves and hem decorated with lace, "SHIMA! I want this spell or whatever you cast on me off! I want the protection spell off!"

Sango and Altec landed on Kazurial without incident. Altec sighed, “It was a lot harder this time around” said Altec as he looked over at Sango. Sango closed his eyes and sensed the aura in the area. Sango stood for a good five minutes looking for Shirube’s aura. Sango opened his eyes, “I found her…” said Sango as he turned to Altec, “…Please stay here, your still injured and I doubt you would be able to keep up with me in your condition” said Sango. Altec hesitated, but agreed as he watched Sango disappear. Sango ran as fast as he could towards where Shirube was being held, “Silver, just hold on…” said Sango as eh raced towards Shirube.

Noel sat on top of the castle and sensed Sango’s progress, “Your much faster then before Sango…” said Noel with a smile, “I guess its almost time for me to put my plan into action” said Noel as he stood up and put his sword on his side. “I best tell Shirube Kaze about Sango, she will be happy…I’m sure of it” said Noel as he disappeared.

Altec watched as Sango walked away from him. After a few minutes. Altec dropped flat onto the floor with his stomach facing up. He winced at the pain from his injuries. "Ok maybe that was not a smart idea to do," he said aloud to himself as he knew no one was there. He closed his eyes let his mind wander a bit as the sky. The feeling of wind moving at a fast pace up in the sky made him feel much more relaxed actually. It may seem unusual, but that's because more air is around him, and he can feel more and his senses are heightened.
He let out a big breath and then slowly opened his eyes.

"We'll Always be friends right?"
"Of course we will!"

A shock went through his mind as he remembered that. He slowly got back up as he didn't want his mind to wander anymore. He slowly got up, but took his time because he didn't want to hurt himself in the process. He was now on his feet and he looked down at the ground for a moment. "Damn it," he thought as he clenched his hand as he looked at it. He lifted his head and turned it towards the sun for a moment. The wind blew his hair to the side of his head as he looked up at the sun. "Sorry Sango, but I can't stay here for that long," he said aloud quietly as he slowly started walking.

Crying from ramming herself into the door and wall in the attempt either of them might break down, Silver leaned against the stone cold wall under the window's ledge, the wind blowing in steadily through the opened windows.
"I need to get out of here. I need to get this stupid spell off my baby. Our baby!" the dhampir whispered defeated, whapping her fists on the stones, fighting back sobs. "Please, is anyone out there?"
"Why, yes, Ms. Kaze," a familiar voice echoed in the room.
Flinching from surprise, Silver rose, leaning against the wall and ledge for support while clutching her abdomen.
"What do you want?" she asked acidly, not keen on another visitor able to come in without her knowing it.
"Time to explain something," Noel replied gently, a light grin spreading on his face. "It may interest you."
Silver's brow furrowed, one eye squinting with the other examining him widely. "Just what is it that might wind swordsman wants to explain?"
Noel's eyes glinted, though for what she didn't know...

Noel looked at Shirube, “Sango has arrived on Kazurial and he is coming this way as fast as he can…” said Noel. Shirube’s eyes widened as Shirube looked at Noel with a shocked face as tears began to wet her face. “Sango…” said Shirube quietly as she fell to her knees and covered her face with her hands. Noel looked at Shirube and closed his eyes, “He is close…I will not stop your reunion with him” said Noel as wind surrounded him. Before he disappeared he said to Shirube, “Please tell Sango that the instant you are safe from this place…I will appear before him” said Noel, he then disappeared into the wind.
*********
Sango appeared near the castle about 300 yards away from where Shirube was being kept, “If this is Shima’s domain, then there has to be a barrier around her castle…which would explain why I haven’t seen any guards or traps around, but I still need to proceed with caution”. Sango ran closer to the castle and managed to find the area Shirube was being kept. Sango looked at the window of the room and yelled at the top of his lungs, “SILVER!!!!!!”.

Altec kept on walking, but his breathing was getting heavier and heavier. "Damn it," he said as he fell to his knees. He grabbed his injured spot. "He did more to me than I thought," he muttered to himself as he brought his head low and then touched the ground with it as he continued to grabbed the injury. "Looks like I can't really go anywhere," he said to himself as slowly got back up. "Looks, like I'm really going to wait," he said as he turned around and started to walk back to the spot

Jerking her head up at the sound of his voice, Silver jumped up abruptly and leaned out the window. Rubbing her eyes hurriedly, she scanned the ground, and, finding the same fire-red pants and bandaged arms, wiped away at her eyes again to see him clearer.
"Sango!!" she cried, jumping to the window's ledge and leaning out, the same barrier pushing against her touch but restricting her from coming out. "No!!" Silver screamed, banging against the invisible rubber wall.
Frowning up at this, Sango pulled out his sword, posing his free hand deftly over the handle.
"Silver, back up from the window," he instructed loudly, calling upon the fire that has been used in his family for generation upon generation. The girl did as she was told, jumping off with ease as Sango slung down the blade, sending a long flame, and, as it flew up along the castle walls, formed a phoenix for a brief second, a deafening screech erupting from the great bird as it dissolved into a more deadly fire, magic exploding as the wall wavered and faded, a good chunk of the wall under her window crumbling away into ashes and blew away with the strong winds. Falling back from the backfire, Silver jumped back to her feet, running to the ledge, not seeing the hole till at the last second, feeling the pressure against her face and entire body as she fell weightlessly from the castle, arms spread out like an eagle.
"Sango," she cried, shocked, but oddly happy at her free falling.
"Silver!" Sango exclaimed shocked, sheathing his sword and running to give him a jump start as he leapt and met her ten feet off the ground, his arms clasping protectively round her waist, her hands locking protectively behind his neck to his shoulders, digging her head into the nape of his neck as they floated to the ground, Sango landing on his feet solidly while Silver dangled in his hold, being she was barely shorter than him.
Together they stood in the same hold, till Silver pulled her hands away and grasped his face firmly, feeling the same firm jawline and cheekbones. "It's really you," she mumbled, her throat constricting from tears, locking his lips with hers for endless moments in her life. Pulling away her face brightened, the image deterred with her pale cheeks and tear-stained face. "It's really you!"
Bringing his arms farther up her back, Sango kissed her neck back up to her lips. "It's really you in my hold," he murmuredhis face brightening with a genuine smile, the two remaining in their hold together while they hung on for dear life and kissed, Silver in tears.

As Sango and Shirube’s lips parted, Sango smiled held Shirube close to him, “I was afraid that you were gone forever…” said Sango as he embraced her. Shirube embraced Sango as well, “I’m sorry for making you worry so much” said Shirube as he kissed Sango. Sango kissed Shirube back and held her firmly, “We aren’t out of the woods yet, its far to dangerous here for us to be doing this…we should get out of here as fast as we can…” said Sango as he held Shirube close to him. Shirube wiped the tears from her eyes and agreed as she put her arms around his neck. Sango, hold Shirube in his arm, then disappeared from the spot they were. A good ten minutes past before the reached Altec again. When they arrived, they both saw Altec leaning on a tree, breathing heavily. Sango looked at Altec, and set Shirube on the ground and she stood next to him. Sango and Shirube walked over to Altec, “Do you have enough energy to get Silver out of here?” asked Sango. Altec looked at Sango and nodded, “Yeah, the trip down it always much easier then the trip up” said Altec. Shirube looked at Sango with a surprised look, “What about you?” asked Shirube. Sango looked at Shirube, “I have some unfinished business up here I must finish” said Sango. Before any of them could speak, a huge gust of wind blow and Noel appeared out of it. Noel and Sango made eye contact and then Noel spoke, “Sango…its been such a while”. Sango stood protectively in front of Shirube, “Altec, take Silver and get out of here…” said Sango as he unsheathed his sword part way. Shirube grabbed Sango’s arm and held, “Please, stay with me…” said Shirube as she clung to Sango’s arm. Altec grabbed Shirube and he looked at Sango, and without a word, left Kazurial with Shirube. Sango glared at Noel as he completely unsheathed his sword, Noel did the same with his sword. Without a word, they both disappeared and reappeared as there sword clashed, which created a huge shockwave that spread across the entire area and beyond.

Altec looked at Silver. "I'm sorry, but I promised Sango to get you to safety," he said to Silver as he can tell that she wanted to go back towards Sango.
Suddenly there was a shock wave and it went right past Altec. "Crap," he said as he lost a little balance, but he held onto to Silver. "Was that Sango?" he thought as he got back his balance. He looked back up at the floating country for a moment. He saw the two battle and clashing against each other with swords. "Those two...," he thought as he looked back down," They're strong."
He turned a little bit. "Sango, you better come back alive," he whispered.
He started to make his way towards Azuriya.

Sango and Noel disappeared and reappeared rapidly after each time there swords clashed, the force of which damaged the nearby landscape. Noel and Sango reappeared again on the ground and there swords clashed and they both held there ground, Sango holding his sword with both hands while Noel held his with only one hand. “You’ve improved…” said Noel as he stared at Sango, while Sango smirked, “Does that mean I’m better then you?” asked Sango with a kind of upbeat seriousness. Noel smiled, “Not by a long shot” said Noel as he pushed Sango away with his sword, then charged at Sango with his sword ready to thrust at Sango. Sango parried Noel’s attack and pushed it aside, then he launched a counterattack at an opening on Noel. Noel managed to pull his sword back to block Sango’s attack while also cutting Sango across the side. Noel pushed Sango back and then charged again at Sango, who was holding his wound. Just before Noel reached Sango, Sango took some of the blood from his wound and tossed it in Noel’s eyes, temporarily blinding him, then he slashed Noel across the shoulder with his sword. Noel hit the ground hard, but got up without any difficulty, “Smart move Sango, it is now apparent to me that this fight cannot be decided with swordsmanship alone” said Noel as he pointed his sword at Sango. Sango looked at Noel and agreed, “Your right…” said Sango as he held his sword above his head, “Burn, Toritsume” said Sango. Then suddenly, his sword burst into flames and the flames spread all around him. Sango glared at Noel as the flames around his spread further and further. Noel place his hand on his own sword and it began to glow as he spoke, “Spin and Destroy, Kamikaze” said Noel. Then suddenly, a huge gust of wind blasted from the sword and nearly blow Sango off his feet. When the wind calmed down, Sango looked at Noel’s sword, it was glowing white with what looked like a small tornado spiraling around the blade. Noel and Sango looked each other in the eyes, “This is where the real battle begins…don’t disappoint me, Sango” said Noel as he held his sword, ready to attack.

Sango charged at Noel, but Noel disappeared and reappeared behind Sango with his sword raised to strike Sango. Sango managed to parry Noel’s attack, but Noel’s attack had so much force behind it, in smashed Sango into the ground from the force of it. “I know how powerful your sword, Toritsume, is…so I’m not going to allow you to get an attack in” said Noel as he swung his sword at Sango again, forcing Sango further into the ground. Sango manage to bend the flames of his sword towards Noel, which caused Noel to evade the flames and gave Sango a chance to move. Sango appeared behind Noel and swung his sword at Noel, but Noel only parried the attack. Sango made a dissatisfied sound, but Noel grinned and said, “Kyoufuu”. Sango looked at Noel with surprise and braced his sword and Noel pushed Sango back, but instead of just pushing Sango back with his own strength, he used an incredibly strong wind which force Sango into the air at an incredible speed. When Sango started to slow down, Noel appeared beside him and pointed his sword at Sango while he spun his sword around. “Kamaitachi” said Noel, Sango looked shocked, Crap, I can’t dodge this, thought Sango as he looked back at Noel. As Noel spun his sword, a huge whirlwind appeared around Sango and suddenly the wind spun so fast, it started to rapidly cut his flesh. After 30 seconds of the wind cutting him, the whirlwind dispersed and Sango fell to the ground and hit it hard. Sango stood up and looked up and Noel, “I can’t believe I got caught in both the Kyoufuu and the Kamaitachi…” said Sango as he held his sword as if to attack, “…But at least I know how to defeat both attack now” said Sango as he jumped up to attack Noel. Noel sighed and started to spin his sword again, “You know what will happen if you attack me directly…but it looks like you must learn again” said Noel as the whirlwind appeared around Sango again. Sango smirked and started to spin thin the same direction as the whirlwind, allowing the flame on his sword to grow, ultimately taking over the entire whirlwind. Noel looked surprised, “What?!” as he looked at the whirlwind made of fire. “Did you forget Sensei…” said Sango as he appeared outside of the flames, “…Wind is an assisting element of fire…your element makes my element stronger” said Sango as he started manipulating the flames into a small orb held into place with his aura. Noel disappeared and reappeared on the ground, but Sango only appeared behind Noel with the orb of fire in his hand. Noel turned around with his sword aimed for Sango, but Sango was faster and hit Noel square in the chest with the orb, which burst open, engulfing Noel in the flames and forcing him back into the forested area and then into the ground. Sango disappeared and reappear to where Noel was laying on the ground, the flames on his body gone and his body smoking. Noel opened his eyes and managed to stand up, his haori and undershirt were both completely burned, which revealed a large number 1 on the middle of his chest with eight black gems surrounding it. As Noel stood up, two of the gems shattered and blood started to seep from the places the gems were. Noel looked up and Sango, "I guess there is no point hiding it anymore…these gems are what keep my soul in my body” said Noel as he walked up next to Sango and disappeared again. Sango clenched his sword, “You really do want to fight to the death, don’t you…well then it looks like I have no choice…” said Sango as he started to remove the bandages he always keeps wrapped around his arms, “…But to use my full power”. When Sango removed the last bandage, his body emitted such a powerful aura, it was able to be sensed by almost anyone who had a strong awareness of aura.

Noel stood in the middle of a large clearing with his arms crossed, eyes closed, and his sword sticking out of the ground in front of him. Sango appeared behind Noel at the other side of the clearing and he only stared at his Sensei. Noel uncrossed his arms and turned to look at Sango, “I remember back when I first trained you, Sango…you were never able to land a hit on me, how agitated you would get after each sparring match…do you remember?” said Noel with a smile. Sango looked down and smiled, “I remember…but it wasn’t agitation I had…it was frustration” said Sango. Noel raised his eyebrows, “Frustration?” said Noel in a questioning tone. Sango nodded, “I was frustrated with you because I wanted to surpass you…it was my dream to surpass you” said Sango as he lowered his sword. Noel examined Sango and chuckled, “You have definitely changed in appearance, strength, even personality…but deep down, your still the same Sango I trained those many years ago” said Noel. Sango only looked at Noel, “You haven’t changed a bit either…your still going by your old creed, the creed you taught me…” said Sango and he looked Noel straight in the eyes. Noel looked at Sango and had a solemn expression on his face, “I see…” said Noel. Sango clenched his sword, “Sometimes you must do what you think is wrong, in order to do what you know is right” said Sango. Noel stared at Sango, “I’m glad you haven’t forgotten, but tell me…what do you plan to do?” asked Noel. Sango held his sword up and pointed it at Noel, “I plan to defeat you…with Toritsume…the sword that I swore never to kill another innocent person with again” said Sango as the flames of his sword grew more intense. Noel grabbed his sword and held it ready to attack. Sango’s and Noel’s aura both increased the point of creating craters where they stood. They both charged at each other and the instant their sword clashed, a huge blast of wind and fire exploded from them, completely destroying the terrain in the area, leaving only a barren wasteland in the area. Noel and Sango appeared above the area they just destroyed and clashed their swords again and again, so fast that it would be impossible to keep up with the naked eye. Sango and Noel kept attacking each other and blocking each others blows, neither were able to land a direct hit on each other. Sango and Noel jumped to the ground and faced each other, It looks like I have no choice but to use my new technique, thought Sango as he raised his sword and the flames grew more intense. Sango grabbed his sword with both hands and he lowered it and focused his aura into it. Slowly, the flames on his sword started to change from a red to blue and they grew more intense. Noel jumped back to avoid the heat and looked at Sango’s sword and raised his own sword. Sango let go of his sword with one hand and looked at Noel, “Kokusho” said Sango as he watch Noel raise his own sword. “I see…you want this fight to end…very well, I will release my power as well” said Noel as a great wind surrounded his body and even greater wind surrounded his sword. Sango and Noel stared at each other and then, charged at each other with there weapons ready to attack each other, then at last, they clashed, which created a huge blast of wind and fire which destroyed almost everything with in a 3 miles radius with the combined power of both fighters.

Blood dripped from both weapons as Sango and Noel stood facing each other with their sword stabbing through each others bodies. Sango looked at Noel’s sword and saw that it was stabbed through his left shoulder, then he looked at his own sword and saw that it was stabbed right through Noel’s chest. Three of the black gems surrounding the large 1 in the middle of Noel’s chest shattered and blood started to ooze out of the indents on his body left from the gems. Noel puked blood and looked at Sango and pulled his sword out of Sango’s body and dropped his sword to the ground with the blade stabbed into the ground. Noel moved closer to Sango and, with much difficulty, put his left arm around Sango and hugged him, “You really have grown…Sango…I am so proud…to have called you…my student” said Noel with a smile. Suddenly, Noel’s body burst into flames at the spot Sango had stabbed Noel with his sword. Noel didn’t appear to feel the flames as another two of the gems shattered. Noel smiled as he grabbed his sword out of the ground and put it in Sango’s hand, “Kamikaze…he is your sword now…Sango…use him as you see fit…” said Noel as tears of joy began to fall from Noel’s eyes. “Please…forget me…I have caused you nothing but pain…so please…forget about me” said Noel at the flames grew larger and larger. Sango closed his eyes, “No…I will never forget you, Sensei…you gave me a reason to fight, a reason to protect, a reason to love…if I forget about you Sensei…that means I forget all of those things your have given me, what makes me who I am…so I promise you, I will never forget you…Sensei” said Sango as he put his arms around his Sensei. Noel smiled, “Very well…never forget those things…Sango” said Noel as the flames fully engulfed his body. Noel smiled at Sango one last time, before he faded away with the flames, leaving Sango alone. Sango fell to his knees and looked at Kamikaze and Toritsume, then without warning, tears began to stream down Sango’s face as he looked at both swords. “Goodbye…Sensei” said Sango as he clenched both swords and tears flowed down his face. Sango stood up and sheathed both swords as he grabbed his bleeding shoulder as the sun seemed to shine brightly on Sango. Sango smiled as he collapsed on the ground and looked up at the sky, “…Sensei…thank you for everything you’ve done for me…thank you for making me strong, thank you for making me believe in myself, thank you for teaching me my reason to protect, thank you for showing me compassion, thank you for helping me open my heart, and thank you for teaching me…how to love” said Sango as he thought of Shirube. “Silver…I know your worried about me…but I’m okay…so please dry your tears, I’ll be at your side again soon…just let me rest first” said Sango as he closed his eyes and envisioned Shirube and Noel before Sango passed out with a smile on his face.

Looking up intensely at the floating country, Jyaden glared at the place where they were keeping Silver. How dare they, he growled to himself, wishing he knew some way to unbind one of the magical restrictions on his body, wanting to destroy Darkness's minions who kept her captive.
However, before he even reached the surface, the island felt odd; dead, almost. Surely up here, he would have felt at least some kinds of plants or creatures on the island; instead it felt almost barren, like the desert. Speeding up the platform he summoned, Jyaden reached the surface, staring in wide-eyed terror at the ultimate destruction. Most of the area's surface was annihilated, almost all of the fort gone, and nearly all of the plants--probably some animals also--were destroyed in the immediate area.
"What the hell happened," he murmured in shock, noting the destruction, almost relishing it. No, he knew that his role as the different Watcher was solely different from what he was, who he was. Yet everyone else still shunned him, for what he was. If he gave in to what they believed, he would be no better than the pack of idiot Watchers who scorned him long ago.
Shaking that thought, his mind immediately returned to Silver, hoping that in some odd way she was able to avoid the destruction.
Bolting forward the platform lowering closer to the ground, Jyaden scouted the area, seeing mostly nothing but charred ground and rubble everywhere, and a body nearby...
"Silver?" he wondered, hoping he was horribly wrong as he took off in the direction. Jumping off before it slowed to a stop, Jyaden kneeled next to the human, sensing their aura. Human. That means it wasn't Silver, but a mortal. Sighing in relief, the boy still looked at them warily. It wasn't a woman, obviously, but the red hakama looked familiar...
"Sango?" he whispered, rolling him over gently onto his back, his eyes widening at the gash in his shoulder, looking worse than it should be, and other less harmful wounds covering his body. He thought he saw two swords, but paid them no attention. "Poor guy..." he mumbled, working on a good healing spell he knew would take some time to complete casting. "Hope Silver's okay."
He knew she was, since Sango wouldn't fight in the area with her around. A brief flash of jealousy came through him but immediately subsided when he looked at Sango again as the light radiated onto him from the boy's palms.
He was fighting for her, and for himself, he thought regrettably, knowing getting angry at someone Silver loved would be pointless. She would still love him, and would still look at Jyaden like he were her brother.
Blinking back the pain, Jyaden focused on another spell, having healed the minor wounds already and now focusing on more intense healing magic to cleanse and close the bigger wound.
"Just hang in there, because some day," he snickered and mumbled to himself, "I want to punch you out and tell Silver I love her."
