There's also the whole thing that real and anime is very different so it's an apples and oranges kind of thing. Besides, a real measure of how attractive someone is is their personality. Doesn't matter how supposedly good looking someone is if they have a rotten personality it's hard to get past that. Applies to both the real world and fiction.
