~UPDATE~

Saying "HAI" is saying "yes" so why say it all the time.

Some ppl try to translate Hai as in the Hi.

maybe people do it because they like the language and culture, and they are trying to understand something interesting. I'm sure all ethnic groups copy all others because it's fun and different. Sure an American can never be Japanese and the other way around but, we have to realize people do these things because they are trying to understand something different. Also the only piece of culture most people see from the Japanese unfortunately, is on the net from manga and anime and we have to understand that. People love to learn new things. I'm sure people don't do it to be offensive.

Well,Im japanese and im pretty bothered by people using those words, when their not Japanese..^^

Plus, its like copying my culture and stuff like that....ok heres an example.

EXAMPLE

Kunnichiwa Minna san!How is everyone ne?
Konnichiwa!Gomen ne for the late reply!
Kunnicihiwa minna san!Arigatou 4 the invite!
and i here ppl using BAKA alot.....

I dont know this is my opinion.

Just post your answers!

P.S i think this should be in general.....but more ppl use these words in anime^^

i take japanese courses because i love the culture and plan on pursuing a career in translating/interpreting. i could say i'm annoyed because you're speaking english which is my first language. free speech, first amendment of the U.S. Constitution. You have a right to be bothered, but they have a right to say whatever they want as long as its not fighting words or could bring actual harm to a person or group of ppl.

And,i admire that.Ok!I have faith that you would start a career. And its normal for ppl to do that but my question is why do they do that.I good to do it like 8 times a day,but to do it 24/7 isnt it a bit scary>?

I mean if it's something they enjoy, i don't know. Other languages can be fun, when i first learned japanese without taking classes, i would just pick up phrases and randomly say them sometimes in everyday life. It was fun and I still do sometimes, but I want to learn how to communicate with other people in the language and learn how to form sentences, etc etc. Maybe they're like me and they'll eventually want to learn too. They're just excited is all. It's not going to hurt you.

Not really.

I'd be scared if the Japanese started using Filipino words, terms, and names on a much larger scale than they did. (One of the Federation warships in Kikou Senki Dragonar is named 'Mindanao.')

Well what you're saying is basically anyone who isn't Japanese is not allowed to emulate and be cute by using those words. Which in my own opinion is somewhat selfish, people are going to do what they want anyways. I'm sure it may seem a little annoying but it's life and most likely never going to end.

Dawg culturally is associated with hip hop and rap, dude on the other hand is stereotyped with surfers and westerners in general.

I think what I'm trying to say is don't give it too much thought about what "the kids" say anyways at least there not talking 1337 speak.
