I just found out today about the subscription. I didn't need to check the site in the past, before all this, since I usually get my anime by other methods. But now II have been trying to figure out what this system is going to be all about. (I already knew that some would be streamed at the same time or soon after the original japanese broadcast. But I see there are faqs and news posts and pages and pages of comments so unless I read them I won't know what questions have been and haven't been asked or answered. Maybe we (I, that is) can persuade you to make more updates and summaries about the new system?
So I have a few questions.
1) how long will each episode remain available to watch? (which is why d/l's are useful)
2) Can my computer handle the higher def. formats? (and how do I watch them, anyway, do I need a special viewer?)
3) Can you make a list of all a) new series being "simulcast" with the Japanese (or other) version. (b), other shows that will be included in the new membership?
4) does your statement that more will be announced in January also include some more new anime (licensed by you) like Naruto, or Skip Beat?
5) How do you find that list of anime that will be included in the Anime Membership program without having to hunt for it? We need a handy home page for this Anime membership with all relevant links., I think.
Well, I hope I hit all my most confusing issues. Thank you very much.

From what I've collected, the promo ends on either Januray 2 or January 7, I'm not exactly sure which. I would get it before the 2nd, just to be safe.

OK, I purchased a year membership last week. I still get ads and only have access to h264 quality so did I miss something or do I have to wait until January for the benefits to kick in?
