We try to get permission for worldwide broadcast (except for country of origin), but rights clearance is complicated!

I totally agree with you. And if videos such as Skip Beat! first start becoming unavalible, there's always veoh and many other sharing sites. Youtube is slowly becoming better than crunchyroll as CR limits more and more anime to paid members and people living in the US. Is Skip Beat and Gintama licensed in Philippines and Singapore for people to watch it on TV?
I'm not sure as i managed to watch Skip Beat! on the first day itself on crunchyroll but i didn't finish watching it as CR tends to load slower nowadays so i completed the show on the second day of its upload. I'll check that now and re-edit this post.
EDIT : checked and for some reason i can't watch episode 12. Damn you crunchyroll. Well off to veoh or youtube to watch it.

Awesome! Finally DB is dropping Naruto. I was waiting for the day this happened. Personally i never liked naruto because of the fillers and thats what prevented me from Naruto. I have excally the same views as the staff about naruto.
Due to the relationship Viz media is having with crunchyroll to show subbed episodes of naruto, Dattebayo is only dropping naruto so as not to create a compertition with a close company friend of their, Viz media.

And you didn't like the filler either. Download numbers dropped. In October 2006, Naruto was getting about 175,000 downloads in the week after release. The staff hated subbing it.
Our own quality dropped because none of the staff really liked the show when Naruto was peeing on people. We kept doing it because fans kept telling us they liked it. They'd tell us how it brought their families together, how it guided them through rough times, how it was something to look forward to in their otherwise dreary lives. Every week on the same day, they had Naruto.
I know that sounds really corny, but that made a huge impact on me, as I think it did on the entire staff. It's what kept me working on the show for two years after I stopped watching it.

You know, they announced they'd stop subbing it as soon as Viz announced that they'd be streaming it for free and subtitled on various websites (CR and Hulu being two of them, joost might be also, and their own little naruto website). When exactly that was I'm too lazy to look for, but it was some time ago, certainly. I do hope you (and anyone who even casually watches Naruto fansubs) didn't just figure that out. But then again, I have no right to talk. Without ANN I'd be clueless to all of this.
150 titles, though. I'm going to be mega-pissed if there isn't any I want to see, and more so if there's a dang time-window I have to watch in it. I prefer watching stuff when I feel like it, not being forced to watch it within a small time frame. I'd like to suggest some stuff I'd want to see, but I honestly don't think it'll matter too much, and might as well wait to see what comes without my whining.

nvm its okay but idk about the question you're asking. already i cant watch shows like slamdunk adn stuff as its only avaliable to people living in the US. Not only that but also Digimon Adventures, Pretty Cure and now even Skip Beat! If most of these 150 titles are only going to be old animes and thus being only avaliable to those is the US, crunchyroll will defintly lose a lot of viewership
