Do you think growing up living a sheltered life is a good thing or a bad thing? granted each has it pros and cons. but I sometimes feel that it has more negitives than positives.

I have lived a sheltered life because I am overprotected by EVERYONE! I am naive because of it but I don't consider it a bad thing to be sheltered.
First of all, I feel cared for because I know its out of love.
Second, for some reason I can see things in a simpler light than others. Two people have an argument, one has to be right the other has to be wrong. My question is: why can't they both just admit to their own faults before they begin to question the others?

Being sheltered has, in a way, made me question normal things. It has also made me believe in people even when I feel I shouldn't. I would rather believe in someone and get hurt then to not believe in them and be alone.

The cons is that I am too trusting as in you are no longer a stranger when you say 'hello.' I can't not trust people because it weighs heavily on me. I am also never taken seriously by my family because they think I am just this doll they need to keep locked away.

Its hard but it has made my life interesting

In my younger years my parents were but now that we've grown up they see us as responsible though it kinda rubbed off on our younger brother so he didn't get much disciplined. But I think those people who are able to survive on their own or without the help or support from their parents will become stronger in their own sense but they will view the world differently as well. Hardship can make a person better but a lot of things that happen when you grow up will mold you into the person you are today.
