"Coincidentally", everyone transfers into the same school, animation is usually poor and when something happens in Chibi mode, it's like it never happened. Of course, every fighting anime character has a special move. It's usually referred to as "it" or "that". Apparently, everyone has perfect hair and usually wears the same thing everyday and never has to do laundry because IT'S ANIME! Question: What do the parents do? What's their job and their income? In Minami/Minami-Ke, no form of income yet the characters live in a pretty nice condo/apartment. Bleach, what the hell does Ichigo's dad do? And I know in Naruto, the missions don't bring in much cash so how does Naruto manage to live from day to day? Also, what's with the shyness? I mean come on.. Most of the animes I watch have high school students and up yet they're prude as hell even though they don't mind staring the crap out of boobs and getting nose bleeds. And by the way, wth is up with the nose bleeding? That's not what people do (or can do even if they wanted to) when they see something perverted. And the ever so popular "every different anime main character has a different hair color/style." Pink, purple, blue, red, orange, blonde, platinum blonde, etc. It's a festival of colors for the eyes. And why do some of the girls gotta have such long hair? I mean seriously.. some girl's hair are longer than their whole body. How long does it take them to style it with hair gel, hair spray and hair dryer? Matter fact, how does their hair stay in perfect form throughout the whole anime? Another note, same clothes everyday with each character. I know you got a wardrobe. Use it. Well.. that's it for the random things I notice in anime.

Bleach - Ichigo's father is a doctor. He runs a clinic. This is exemplified in Episode 3 I believe or episode 4. It is also mentioned in episode 1 and again in I believe in like 6. The episode with Inoue's brother as a hollow it is mentioned and again with Sado and the bird.

As to the nosebleed - its an old japanese wives tale that perverted thoughts cause nosebleeds. They simply took this and used it as a way of expression.

Long hair again a japanese cultural thing. Most traditional women in japan did not cut their hair, the men didn't either during certain eras. As a result long hair, even that longer than the body is considered a sign of beauty. As to the the hair styling. Its simply one of those things to skip over that are not necessary to the storyline, no one cares that it takes forever to do hair. It is mentioned in some anime though. As for the wardrobe. Honestly, do you know how much work it is to do animation. Its economics. They can draw one character with the same clothing and then just go with it like a cut/paste deal.

Many anime that have children living with like no parents - not normally explained but often the parents are overseas. this is not uncommon. Often times parents may be in a different town or city again not uncommon. Most children can attend high school wherever as long as they pass the tests. The whole family doesn't move such as in America often times they just send the kids off in Anime and let them figure it out on their own. They either pay for or supply money for expenses. Often times students have part time jobs, not mentioned in the anime that provide some kind of income, this is of course providing the students are allowed to have jobs.

As for what I notice. The first thing I usually notice is the artwork, then the dialog. I don't notice small stuff like everyone has odd hair or wears the same clothing. Those things are unimportant to me. After the art and dialog I notice the actors. Do the characters and the voice actors fit. Its really something of note when they do not . This happens more with dubbing than with raws.

I think what this means is simply the themes found in anime are not usually for children.
