But yeah when I watch anime when a brother and sister are in love it freaks me out and makes me feel guilty if I start enjoying the anime..

I have debated this with classmates(only boys, when we where ca 15+- of age)
The question was Q: Would you do your sister?
Those who had no big problem in the idea was the ones that did not have a sister, and claimed if she was hot enough he would.
But the ones that have a sister would never do so no matter what.

There are probably some other stereotypic characters that I don't think of
The little sister that need the attestation of her brother, where as normally the brother ignores the sister
The brother that is overprotective of his sister, or other way around.
A lot of anime deals with the types of sister and brother, even if not directly or in a incest way,
but you get to know the story behind why they are acting the way they are against each other in anime(in those with brother sister relationship I have seen at least)

Incest does not only regard brother-sister, but the whole family
There is "love" and there is "inlove". The first being normal in a family, the second would be incest
Real life incest does not normally happen with approval of both parts


Anime is not real, therefor I have no direct problem with brother and sister getting together, there normally is a story behind it, even if I don't think I have seen one that focuses on this

Actually it's funny that I saw this thread today as I was watching "Imouto Jiru" just last night.

if incest is so unnatural, then we would not exist. In the far distant past, incest was accepted. even farther in the past, incest was necessary to our primitive ancestors to increase population with survivable traits (evolutionists theory). If you believe the Adam and Eve story, how do you explain further population of the world without incest at some level? Incest is,therefore, natural; but it is not a socially accepted norm, rather, it is a social taboo (morally gray). I urge you to show understanding to your fellow man.

Furthermore, people who openly practice incest should not be discriminated against, as neither should people who practice homosexuality!

What we should do is show support for those that are suffering with conflicting emotions about their siblings, as they may be under the same extreme social pressures as those of homosexuals who have not come out.

Society needs to change if we are to grow, and it starts with learning empathy for others situations. My advice would be to do as my pastor says: "Detest the crime, but show love toward the criminal." You never know who will save you when you're in dire straits!

I have a sister, she really ugly and kinda bitchy so know i wouldn't tap that, but beyond that i see know problem being with some one you love no matter who they are or what others think of you being with each other.
