Note: Most worst filipino dubs were in Yugi Oh! ( Some of the cards names were totally off )

dubs probably change the character's whole voice like spanish or italian dubs make young anime school girls sound so old o_O subs dont really mess up anything

I started watching anime at such a young age with only dubbed version, mostly in Filipino and others in English. I could only watch them from our local television networks, since I can't and have no access to the Internet before and our TV (here at my family's house) doesn't have cable networks back then, but I think their dubbed versions sounded just fine. Or at least, I think they had better choices of dubbers back then.
So, I'd have to agree now when you say that it sucks because I prefer those dubbers and translations back then compared to most of what they have nowadays. But I'm not saying all dubbed versions now, whether in Filipino or English, suck because there are still a few good ones out there. Well, I prefer subtitled versions now, but I still watch dubbed versions sometimes. It’s still fun especially when it's a good one ^_^
