Um...here's some things that I know & I wanna share. xD

-You can make the scan lines smaller by making the size 4 by 4. (When you make layout)
-You can also use the pencil tool instead of the brush
-Instead of pressing Ctrl + 0 ; you can double click on that white hand on the toolbar and the small square will still become bigger.
-Instead of making a duplicate layer of the background (After making the pattern) ; you can just click on the pattern stamp tool and move the brush all over the picture.

P.S - This might be complicated for beginners or people who aren't used to using the Lasso...but:
-By selecting various parts of an avii using the polygonal lasso and then using the pattern stamp, you can have the scan lines on some parts of the picture.

Sorry if it's too complicated to understand. >.<

Lols ty . and i did use the pencil tool o.o..
and i was gna put that stuff on the tutorial but idk how to explain it lol o.o....

I know how you feel. Photoshop CS3 is still kinda new to me & there's a lot of stuff that I don't realy know.

Tehe i got CS4 o.o its in the forums if u wants [thx to WelcomeToJamrock]

Thankyou, but I rather stick with Cs3. xD I don't understand all the functions in CS3 & CS4 might make me more confused. >w<

hehe, i'm so relieved that i have someone in the same boat as me!! because i was sort of feeling quite timid.. but do you know what to do after i've rendered the picture, like the background pattern?
