What does the Yui-san mean after the name ive heard it alot in different shows but could never figure out what it means... also why do they put it there only some times anyone know?

if you could use it in a sentence lets get some dialogue going on

its used for like older girls...out of respect that is. kinda like Ms. i suppose..

say your name is sly and someone that is younger than you would call you sly-san...bad example because you're not a girl.. shit..dont even know what im talking about now..but you get the idea rite?

San is the same for both men and women, it’s like an asexual honorific that can be used by and for both sexes.

Edit from Del Rey translations of honorifics.
san- this is the most common honorific, and is equivalent to Mr., Miss, Ms., Mrs., etc. It is the all purpose honorific and can be used in any situation where politeness is required.

haha.
mostly san is used.
but if you are closer to the person, you use -CHAN.
mostly for guys they use -KUN and for girls they use -CHAN,
mostly.and that is if you really close to that person.

-san = respect, generally people older than you, both sexes
-sama = great respect, both sexes
-kun = relatively familiar or younger than you, guys
-chan = relatively familiar or younger than you, girls and young boys
-senpai = upperclassman/someone superior in a field(but not your boss, that'd be san)

i don't think i missed any
