This is a very ungrateful comment. Crunchyroll would never have survived this long if it wasn't for the fans/members that uploaded stuff.

you see...he said fan SUBS..not videos. read and understand before going all bitchy on people without even possessing the knowledge to defend your stance, unless you want to look like a silly kid.

meh.

i totally agree, cr started from users uploading fan-sub anime and then it began expanding. perhaps to think the users as creators rather than obstructions would be better and more appropriate. like people say "don't bite the hands that feed you" (not literally though~ )

but still i appreciate all your effort, shinji, to make things better. though its not all that better for many of us since we live outside the licensing region maybe that could be your next step? to let cr really become world-wide accessible like the internet is to anyone who can use it. oh well its a suggestion, haha

edit: ok, puerto rico is spanish, but europe was completely owned ;D

huh? where did you read that?

just check the animelist, which shinji linked in his first post.

Basically all I was interested in, is for Canada/US + Puerto Rico + Guam.

The only thing I can to is to hope that those not announced will be for more countries :>

fun subs, video upload whatever the difference they'll all be removed anyway. whose being the bitch here? you have your opinions, I have mine. I can be a bitch when I want to, as much as you want to be a know-it-all. And Blassreiter sucks!!!

meh, fansubs are illegal, and since cr is going legal they can't afford to support "illegal" business especially if they want to get the anime companies on their side and co-work with them.

i doubt that shinji wanted to sound ungrateful...he was just saying that the creators don't accept the fansubbed projects thus they either have to join the game or give up. meaning, removing them or get into legal issues.

i mean yes, it's thanks to fansubbers and the uploaders that cr prevailed, but that's business.
but i do understand your anger, but that's how it's going round in the grown-up world.

sorry if i did sound a bit...aggressive, i just didn't see where this comment was being "ungrateful"..

if they are so afraid of the legal issues why start CR in the first place?

the business of using people. And I'm not angry. It's just sad for those people who used their time and energy and not even a thank you in return. at least give these people something just to say thank you for making CR what it is today.

accepting it does not make it correct. this is what's wrong in the world today.

I am thankful that Shinji started CR and gave us a choice. Everyone who doesn't agree with what he is doing are free to leave. They have other places and resources for downloading whatever they want.

Whereas the rest of us that stay are going to have access to quality, easily-accessible, affordable, and legal anime.

I think the matter here is the copyright issue. It's like pirated CDs.
Of course publishers of those shows produced them not only to entertain us but to gain profit.. and since funsubs are not licensed, nothing goes to the publisher.
This is how it works.. it's business.

anyhow, it would be really nice if Shinji would be able to partner also with the publisher of great dramas, most of which are korean dramas (and are licensed) don't know how it really works here in CR.. but obvioulsy i dig more for the dramas..=) i know the're tons of people in CR out there who gets frustrated whenever they see that the drama they want to watch is LICENSED

List of shows not restricted to america:

Blassreiter
Catblue Dynamite
Cencoroll
Coluboccoro
Eagle Talon
Egg Man
Electric Soldier DOKAN
Linebarrels of Iron
Mizu no Kobota
Moegaku5
Neko Rahmen
Web Ghost PiPoPa
Pale Cocoon
Pitekanto
ROBO-ONE 11
Shikorobo
Sin The movie
Speed Racer
Steel Angel Kurumi
Steel Angel Kurumi 2 Shiki
Steel Angel Kurumi Zero
Strike Witches
Tower of DRUAGa
Time of Eve (french)

Note Naruto and the other shows that were announced earlier are also available outside america. I wonder how long it'll take for the companies to learn their lessons. Breaking down a worldwide fansub system and replacing it with an america only online counterpart IS WRONG. Most importantly it won't work unless they go worldwide as fansubs still have a reason to exist as long as it's not available for everyone. If they truly want to get rid of them... you can fill in the rest. For the record I'm not blaming Shinji and co who are no doubt working their butts off to ensure the best for all of us but the narrow-minded companies who can't see beyond the bloody USA.
