I've been reading Manwhas and most of them are similar.
That was untill i figure out that they were mostly from that same author. and i was like "dangg no wonder" commented in my head. And all the books by that author was the same thing. A high school with a Jaang, Damsel in distress. some gets hurt or dies, and a girl gets jealous of the Main Character. I'm tired of it. Its also shows in Korean drama >___> Oh and the names! they are so hard for me to remember. So i just have to say "oh the guy with long hair" and etc. then there's the art. its okay but not a favorite compared to Mangas. So i like mangas better than Manwhas. though i still read them once in a while. XD |

I usually don't discriminate between manga, manwhas and comics. I just read what looks good.
The only one I can think of that I'm reading is Pig Bride. |

I live in Japan and since I'm surrounded by a huge amount of manga I almost naver have a chance to read good manwha in Japan. I only have read few English translated manwha and some of them still look 80's manga style especially girl's manwha. Maybe they could be drawn in 80's though and if you read old manga they would look like that too.
There are some Korean manga-ka in Japan who draw manga for Japanese readers(so the format is right to left) and I heard some of them are good. |

Their art is really pretty and different from manga (can't really explain it). But sometimes the story can go soooooooooooooo slow.

I occasionally go on so don't expect a fast reply :)

I find manhwas....alright. Reading takes a bit of adjusting and the art is slightly different.
My favourite has to be the manhwa called Model. My goodness....the art. It's amazing O A O Some dislike the big lips, and I do find that the anatomy is not proportional at times, but I still can't help but love it. I'm sure it's the way the eyes and hair are drawn, especially the eyes. It's about a vampire, ghosts, art and stuff. I know some people are totally put off by the mention of vampires, and I don't blame you, but this is definitely not your average storyline. |
