Well, I guess you can say that MANGA seems more fictional, exagerrated (not to be offensive but sometimes the style of how the plot goes on is similar between the different mangas) while MANHWA is more "realistic" <-- meaning not as exaggerated. I guess the two are also affected because of the cultural differences between korea and japan. What is "normal" and may be an everyday common situation could be different in the eyes of people of a different culture. It's up to each person's preference as to which they like to read :)
A manhwa I would recommend is: Bride of the Water God , the art and the detailing is just beautiful. |

Manhwa? I love it

Well, I definetly enjoy reading "The Breaker" and "Unbalance x Unbalance", "Freezing" is rather interesting and "Zippy Ziggy" is a work of genius. However, when I see anything by Hwang Mi Ri, i choke... can't stand that stuff. Generally, there's a lot of great shounen manhwa where as korean shoujo seems usually even more painful than the japanese counterpart (however, i'm prejudiced to most shoujo so take that into consideration when reading this post).

I like Manga and Manhwa, but I guess I prefer Manhwa. The art just tends to look better to me. A lot of manga artists stick to that rounded art style. You see a lot more angular features with Manhwa. The style of the eyes usually looks better too. As far as favorites, probably "'Threads of Time" and "Superior" are my two.

Manhwa are different. Most noticeable is that you read them left to right. Yeah they do have different art styles and their stories can be fundamentally different. Anyhow some of my favorite are ZippyZiggy, Trace(Korean web comic) and Noblesse(Another korean web comic).
