For some people school just isnt the right option, i know lots of people who have dropped out of school who are happy and succesfull.

Not everyone who drops out wastes their life on drugs,

but i can give you a long list of students who do the exact thing.

I know. But my friend is currently in that circumstances.

then why didnt you give an example of someone living a happy and productive life?

sorry, but you were generalizing highschool drop outs as useless drug addicts.

I do not think it was her intention to make it seem like that. She was just stating that her friend is leading that type of life.

Dropping out of school can be a positive thing as if you have no idea what direction you want to go in as a career getting into the real world and trying different things may give you a purpose or goal in life, and as in the UK the age of retirement is 60 to force yourself into a job you have no passion or interest in can leave you unfulfilled, and remember that the educational system will always be there for you so if you do decide to re-enter education through adult learning centers its never to late, there is also training whilst on the job and apprenticeships which are all other options and if the thought of working for someone else brings you to tears then becoming an entrepreneur is also there (although in today's economic climate i suggest that you choose the business you set up wisely). Which ever path you choose to follow never rush the decision, consider all the options and talk to friend family and people who have experience in this matter.

I know a few people that dropped out.
My best friend did for a while then went back when she finally got back on her feet.
A friend dropped out of high school but decided it was a good idea to go to college anyway.

Im not saying there all useless. And this topic was asking if you knew someone who dropped out of school, so I gave her as my example.
You have your opinion, I have my opinion so whatever.

i know a few ... some turned ok and some turned bad. depends on the crowd you hang out with. either they pull you up or pull you down. and it also depends on the personality and outlook in life of the person...

no way, i have already went to school for eight years og my life and now its my nineth....so I might as well finish it off and hopefully get a diploma

I think the people who drop out because of hard work are weak....like srsly.....there are harder things in life this is just the beginning !`

oh and I do know this girl who goes home schooling, but she never studied at school and only came to school on the days we had sports
