Ok heres the deal how many of you anime fans are also Star Trek fans? I know i am ive even gone to a conventions (didnt dress up though) in vegas its alot of fun.

so lets here some star trek stories, con's youve been to or want to go to...

for me my fav speekers ive heard are ethan phillips (Neelix) hes was so funny
william shanter and Lennard Nemoi together on stage (that was funny)

theres so many good speakers at these things you usually spend so much time laughing

I was for the most time of my life. I even got some of those models of space ships but never went to conventions.

Once I read more about the technology of Star Trek my fandom perished at once. There's so much stupidity in Star Trek. Warpdrive is soemthing we'll never achieve(eventhough I think faster than light travel will be possible), artificial Gravity(the way it's done in Star Trek) is stupid and energy consuming, nearly every humanoid Alien can crossbreed with humans(that's one of the biggest stupiditys of Star Trek), beamcanons are stupid, timetravel(into the past) isn't possible and they have not even the slightest time phenomena when traveling with their ships...

I have a 40 something brother in law who even has uniforms, other Star Trek merchandise and every movie and episode that was ever made. A real Otaku.
___________

Gundam is much better except for the stupid mechas.

Love Star Trek. I've been a fan since the very first episode---waaaay back in the 60's!!! When it first came on it was so different from anything else on tv at that time that I was hooked on it immediately and still love it and have watched all the "incarnations" of it - Next Generation, Deep Space 9 and Voyager (not my favorite, tho). And I've seen all the movies. The newest movie was really GREAT and very true to the Star Trek legacy. And, it's always wonderful to see Leonard Nimoy!! I made it to the only 2 conventions they had in my area. The first one had William Shatner (man, he is really short) and the second had Garrett Wang from Voyager. The first one was the best because they had lots of dealers and things to buy. Star Trek will never die out...cuz we Trekkies won't let it!!!

I just became a fan not a month ago. I first watched because I like Nichelle Nichols (Lt Uhura,) but I kept at it because I think the episodes are so cool.

I feel like more people should give it a chance. If you won't do it because the story plots can be pretty good, do it so you can see Uhura. So hot ♥ Spock is mine. I love his intelligence <-- would probably get on my nerves if he was real and I knew him, but he's not and I don't so I love him.

I don't really want to go to a convention, but it would be fun to dress up as Uhura and show it off. I want to wear the cute outfit she had on in "Mirror, Mirror," but I want sexy abs like hers first. It's like she has them but she's still soft like I think a girl is supposed to be

Maybe I'll work at it this year and try to get them by halloween so I can dress up as her.

People who see science fiction seem to forget that Star Trek: The Next Generation was filmed from 1987-1994, and the technical progress made magic that we see in other films, science fiction and Star programs televisión. Star Trek: The Next Generation making the screen orange , reduced to two thirds of the cost of firing sequences of space. The STTNG ultimately allowing developing very sophisticated and yet credible "human behavior involved in Travel espaciales.Admire Captain Jean-Luc Picard for his reserved British style, and the tension between him and Dr. Beverly Crusher. Lt. Commander Geordi who dislike Laforge data and Lieutenant-mast on human behavior to see? What about the short life of Lieutenant Natasha Yar clear? Who is not allowed to see? Commander William Riker was amazing, as a beard and a conscience - at the same time able to keep up the great Lieutenant Worf, the Klingon one Starfleet!? Those of you who are still on the wars - Star Trek battle for supremacy - grow! Both are inspiring stories in different worlds.
