I think he should have at least let her go in, and then given her the ticket when she had seen her dad. He could have been close to death, and that might have been the last time she could see him. He sounds like the power has gone to his head. Selfish bastard.

The lady totally over-reacted. There's no emergency, as her father was already in hospital care right? She needs to calm the fuck down and take some chill pills.

EDIT: More evidence to support my belief that chicks shouldn't be allowed to drive.

Wow, are you even kidding me? You better be, if someone you cared for had a heart attack and he might die at any moment, you would be speeding to the hospital too.
The comment you made is proof that you are insensitive sexist.

I watched him. He didn't touch his radio at all. He just normally cruised. Maybe his music was too loud, and he didn't hear the gun shots...

Gangbangers who raped people, steal, and sell drugs should get shot, but they shouldn't di. More than likely, most can't aim for anything so that's a good thing.

Somebody goes a mile per hour over the speed limit should get a warning, as police are directed to give. If they repeat this they need a ticket. We cannot let individuals decide the law. What if the police officer thinks “Ah, it’s just murder, no big deal, let him slide.”?

What an idealist... If PO would actually pull over for EVERYONE who goes over a mile, they would need more than 10x the force to do that.

Sad to say, but some cops really don't give a damn in a the world. A prime example is Chicago because everyday there are killings but not all of them get caught. The PO rather let the gangs kill themselves than doing it themselves.

I don't know about laws, but we do influence a lot of the laws.

oh, so just because a cop cant catch a killer, means that he doesnt care about his job? is that what youre saying? you're the one condemning an idealist, so think about your own words before opening your mouth

I've seen people who shot infront of cops, and the cop just drove away without radioing for backup. Remember that I said "some." Some is a small amount btw. If you think all cops are good guy, think again please.

fuck no, i hate cops, those fuckers are always in my way. And im sure that after youve seen those people shot, you just rushed to their aid.

YES, runing into a gun fight between gangs is VERY SMART. No thank, I won't try to be the hero.

well maybe the cop thought the exact same thing

ok i just have to make ONE little comment here...
I do the taxes for quite a few chicago police officers, so i'd say that i kinda know them...
Some of them are burnt out, from working 80+ hours a week and hardly ever seeing their families...
and some are so stressed about everything that it all get so frustrating.

And some of them really do just not care....
I mean we had a cop who scared the shit outta me... (i mean he was freaky and he got his taxes done because he was off duty for the mandatory three days because he shot someone... kinda scary...)
But then there are the young idealist, who think they can catch every criminal... they just can't..
so cut the cops some slack... they are just guys (and girls) who are just trying to do their jobs.. and they are human... they make mistakes too.

Bleh, no one is perfect. Most likely the cop was a newbie, unless the newspaper said otherwise. I think a lot of the police officers are caring, but some just don't give a crap. Obviously the police officer made a bad call, hopefully the person with the heart attack didn't suffer any lasting difficulties.

I think that woman should have been given time! think about it... if she had lost control and fell into a crowd of people, then alot more people would have been harmed. the policeman should have slapped her. she is crazy! the policeman knew the danger to others and rightfully stop her... any one here say that he did wrong is a moron.

What if lets say your (brother, sister, mother, dad (pick one)) was going to hospital and then a crazy woman driving fast and all over the place. then she loss control, the car flips and heads stranght for your (whoever you picked).. then the car hits he/she, killing them... think about it long and hard. taking a life is easy if people are careless (or crazy)

also, wtf could she had done, when she got there? is she a doctor? my guess, no. she would have still had to wait, before even seeing him...
(this is going to sound heartless)
her being changes NOTHING!
she can't change anything.
if he dies, he dies.
if he lives, he lives.
she has no control... althrough, she could have changed the impact on others with being soo stupid!

I knew someone that was killed because of a person speeding to see their dying mother at the hospital. Turns out the mother just had gas, as far as the kid getting tasered by the cops he was overreacting and resisting arrest.

The people who think cops are overreacting and being brutal must not have ever picked up a baby with a bomb on their back, my friend has and by throwing that baby and running was the only reason he's alive to tell me his story today, you know their are some people who are upset with him for throwing the baby..... even more so they are upset that he killed kids at the age of 10-15 although these same kids have killed a considerable amount our troops.

I also hope you realize that their are cases when people are speeding to get their loved one to the hospital because they are having a baby and have killed their loved one in the baby. I wonder how some of you would feel if that cop let that woman continue to drive recklessly and one of your family members were killed but she kept going because she had to see her father, i wounder would you still agree with her actions or thank god that "prick" cop pulled her over and saved your family years of heartache.

Well just my thoughts on the matter right or wrong that man has a job were the laws and rules are changing ever 5mins and he has to adjust to every unique and individual situation.

Im currently training to become a cop, and if its the cops job to arrest a bitch for speeding and rampage.
He has no choice but to arrest her.
If he would have just ignored it and let her go see her dad, he could get fired.
