It'd be really awesome, but Asian artists can't make it big in American.

I don't think they'll survive. But there's a chance.

They have to be extremely marketable and have to contend with several 'giants' in the music biz.

America has gone through their boyband phase, but BIGBANG takes an amazingly unique approach when producing music. There isn't one song I dislike from them. In my opinion, I think BIGBANG has a good chance of surviving.

I think some members of Big Bang and DBSK can be sucessful being a soloist here. Not as a group unforetunately. I just dont see that happening.

i agree his english is quite good...he has gotten a lot better :)

boy bands are not completely dead in the U.S. there are bands like mentioned earlier like Varsity Fan Club and Not Like Them (NLT) and they are pretty good...i guess everyone is over the boy band effect here....
it also depends on what kind of songs Big Bang (definitely would do good) and DBSK (not quite sure if they would survive) will bring to the table...if they bring their uniqueness that they have in asia and not try to imitate what is out in the U.S. today they would do good....then again it would depend on connections in the U.S.. u got to know ppl sadly.....if they do come i would totally support them 100% going to europe would be a good first move...get popular there and then come here would be a good plan

Pffft, will any Asian bands some to Australia? Its like this country detests them of something...

so you ve seen that to...... I dont particularly like boy bands but I would love to see Gackt in Australia but I havent even found a place in australia that sells Asian artists cds the ones I have I got from ebay from japan so when it comes to asian artists live :/ I doubt I will see any in melbourne waaahhh

I think Asian artists are closer to doing well in america than australia even with our liking of the strange and weird ( diluted I believe through to much exposure to american hip pop /pop )

I think it depends on who their target market, and if they're willing to work with American producers like Timberland or Will. I. Am. Big Bang would do good because they're english lyrics are clean, and they have nice beats that goes with it, so that's good with strict parents. As for Suju and DBSK, although I love them, I think small-mined people will tear them apart. Not everybody is willing to accept the fact that they're just as good as American singers.

I am slightly offended that you called L'arc~en~Ciel and Sex Machineguns boy bands. They are rock/metal bands, a FAR cry from a boy band.

On topic though: the whole boy band pop phase has died in America starting from the early 2000s. Now it's that Fall Out Boy pop rock stuff that's in. So if DBSK picked up instruments and stuff they'd probably be popular, and had solely English songs. Or else they'll be rallied to a novelty act that's only for Asiaphile fangirls.
