There are no asians for most sports because sometimes they don't have the advantage (how often do you see an asian as tall as yao ming?) . Sports that asians are capable of doing you'll see there are quite a few: ping pong, baseball(a lot of japanese)...golf(a lot of koreans)...anything that involves more of technique than physical ability. Plus most asians would rather side with their home countries during olympics.

That is because the Asians you seek aren't at their country or continent of origin. It goes without saying that Americans would dominate in different media because they are after all in America. Asians in relation to that, have less exposure because the ratio in population there to the race you specified differs. Besides, not many Asians who go to America aspire to be in showbiz or engage in sports.

"American" includes people of all ethnicities, including Asians.

just because they may not LOOK asian, doesn't mean they're not at least part asian
or just because they don't have an asian name, doesn't mean they're not asian

In movies, music, sports or in some kind of spot light in america?

seriously granted there is yao ming who plays basketball but other than that you rarely see asian people in "real movies" granted there is Jackie Chan, and Jet Li. but they're always doing martial art type movies things asian people have become associated with. aka (stereotype) I have never seen an asian american movie that delt with everyday issues, romance, comedy ect. and I was wondering why is that. ( I know that there is joy luck club but thats besides the point)

you never see them in music, and like mentioned early other the mr. ming you don't see them in sports.

and even if there are no explination, express anything!

remember this is in AMERICA ONLY.

y dont they show indians in movies? Or how bout canadians...or mexicans? They are all stereotyped. You can't expect them to do everything now can u?

actually your wrong about canadians and mexicans..

Canadian Actors:
Mike Myers - Austin Powers, Shrek
Keanu Reeves- Matrix
Jim Carey

Mexican Actors:
Jessica Alba
Jennifer Lopez (duh)
Eva Longoria
