I know huh? Personally I think it is okay to support one of the big teams because you like their style of play etc but you should support your local side first. I live in the US and I support an MLS side. I know they're not the best nor is the league but that's not what counts. Also noted many big clubs of course have "supporters" all around the world. Especially in the Middle East, and Asia see Man Utd. Here in the states a lot of Hispanics in addition to their Mexican league team they support also like Barcelona or Real Madrid because of the similar possession style those two clubs play. The EPL is shown a lot in the States and many people because of that think it's the best league in the world and there is not one other league nor team/s who can come close. That is also why many americans like liverpool, united, arsenal, chelsea because they see them on tv more. Serie A is shown but La liga is not on unless u get satellite so many americans are not exposed to that. I really like German league games because of the parity but most of the time I have to watch them online. So I think most people affiliate themselves with who they watch regularly.
