Why do I watch Gintama?? Well let's see, no paticular reason. Just because...
IT'S THE BEST ANIME EVER CREATED AND NOTHING COMPARES TO IT!!! For those who dropped it after the first episode: ask yourself why EVERYONE who watched it beyond a certain number of episodes always inevitably fall madly in love with this anime and becomes their favorite in 99.9% of cases. Try to wonder why... |

I watch Gintama because I find that I'm laughing at every episode, through most of the episode. With a lot of comedy anime, you laugh only at a few places during the show, while the rest of it builds up to the jokes that you laugh at. Gintama keeps bombarding you with otaku references, inappropriate language and situations, so much so that you keep laughing until they show either the opening or the closing song. It seems they don't really care where they put the songs, as long as it makes the episode long enough.

Gintama is pure win. Though I stopped around 120 and haven't watched it in half a year.

Why do I watch Gintama? I don't. After hearing such high praise for it here on these forums a few months back, I decided to get in to it. Figured I could get caught up in a few weeks or so. I watched the first 4 or 5 episodes and gave up. Their brand of comedy is cheesy and lame. I've laughed harder watching paint dry.

Not everyone have same taste of humor. I don't see how Gintama is cheesy and lame. I found it really awesome and funny. But once again not everyone share same taste for humor. So I guess I'll watch Gintama and you can go watch some paint dry... |
