So.... I just finished episode 12 and thought it was great. Now usually, I'd go check out the manga and see were they left off so I have an idea if there's a possibility of a second season and any interest in reading it. Turns out the anime didn't follow the storyline exactly. Which is why I am asking you manga-readers for your knowledge. Is the anime based on the past? I'm wondering where my mind should be when I get through the first chapter. So is the Kensuke Nimura section in the future? Like the anime series is portraying all the flashbacks that happened through the manga o.o?

I don't mind if you give me spoilers for the explanation, just be sure to put them in a spoiler tab for everyone else.
Thanks in advance, I won't be able to check this for another 30-hours ish

I'm currently reading the manga and have finished through the Yomi arc.

Yes this anime is the prequel to Ga-rei the manga. The manga doesn't go quite in depth why Yomi changed sides like the anime did.

When you read the first volume or so. You'll notice Yomi being a significant part of the story. But you may be confused why Yomi is alive. Yomi is dead, the human side of her that is.

Hold up:
So what you're saying is that in the anime she didn't really die, So she' s still alive in the manga..?

She dies twice. She dies in the anime as a human and dies in the manga as a demon.

Alright thanks. How does she revive? Or does the manga cover that」•

So far the manga hasn't shown how she transforms. I'm hoping the anime isn't over yet (seasons usually last for 13 eps) and they'll show it soon. If not, then I'm guessing it's either going to be in an OVA or yet to be revealed in the manga. It's also possible we'll never really know how. XD
