wat about the dramas???? im near tears here!! (kk, maybe not tears, but desperate for wat i use to be able to watch on cr...) can u please tell us an exact amount of time, or at least a close one of how long it will take?? i am willing to wait, but patience can only last so long..if u take half a year..that might be a problem, but oh well...please help out the drama lovers, not just anime =) which rocks as well ^.^

its all based on the liscensing companies that liscesnsed dramas. if they want there dramas shown here they will contact shinji if they dont. nothing we can do.

i know that, but there were sooo many dramas that werent licensed in the first place, and movies as well, but they had to be removed for additional permission as well??? i can c why he would want permission to the dramas that were licensed, like Hana Yori Dango and all, but why in the world remove the ones that we already had access too...kinda sucks if u were in the middle of one and got it removed, i know im not the only one who was enjoying an episode of my drama when the next moment u click on the next episode and theres nothing but a picture of a scene, or worst..nothing. just hope that he can at least bring some of the stuff back..anime rocks, but its not the only thing cr supporters want.

i honestly didn't like it when i heard that all user uploaded videos on here would be deleted but it didn't bother me much since i know there are tons of other websites that will have this stuff uploaded and then there's always downloading them from online sources or torrents. and i was happy that you were going to be getting some anime legally on here with, let's be honest, better subs/translations than some of the fansub groups produce (NOT DB or BSS of course, but some of those other ones). BUT, looking at the style of the softsubs and the fact that the OP and ED aren't even translated i'm beginning to fully regret your decision. It would be much easier to just download the raw files and a .sub file and watch it on your computer than wait one week for this free service with crappier video quality. If you can't make it at least equal or better to what we had before for free from the DB fansubs then don't even attempt it. No matter how legal it is, it is still a disservice to the fans, and it is even more unfair to those Anime Membership paying people who get this crap quality just to be disappointed a little bit earlier than the rest of us.

So, yeah, my only suggestion is fix the styling of the subs and add an OP and ED karaoke.

Looking forward to Naruto Shippuuden in 720p and widescreen. Keeping my fingers crossed for worldwide availability for a couple more series as well. But looks promising so far, and the price point for the paid service is definitely not bad at all. Thank you and keep up the good work shinji ~

Edit: Oh, right, one more thing. Would it be possible for us to get an account setting for always streaming in the highest quality available? There's the setting for H264 and lower right now, but with 480p and 720p tossing a wrench in things and resolution availability varying by series, it'd be nice to just be able to tell the video player to always pick the best quality stream.

Well i can follow up with naruto now i guess but yeah do something about the quality of the subs cause some are just unbearable (the translation is ok but they need to work on the timing better!)

oh if the subtitle timing is off for h264 and 480p and 720p, please try lq or hq for now...sorry~ it should be fixed tomorrow..

Um about Chrono Crusade it has lines missing (alot actually) and the timing is way off I was just wondering if that problem will be fixed sometime soon too?

Naruto Episodes 221 to 228 have just been launched! =D I know some of you are used to a different episode numbering scheme, these are Episodes 1 to 8 of the Naruto Shippuden arc. Our numbering scheme starts at the beginning of the original Naruto series, so hopefully you guys get used to this system! We will be launching 8 old episodes and 1 simulcast (the newest episode) every week from now on. Naruto is available worldwide except Japan and France.

Naruto Simulcast (the newest episode, #311) will launch on January 8th for Anime Members in High Definition and January 15th for everyone else in standard definition. Anime Members will always get to watch simulcast anime shows earlier, and in High Definition when available. For more details, I'll have a full release calendar ready by next week.

We've also launched a bunch of other shows, and will continue to add more and more each day, so check back often =D Here's some of the others we've released today:

Gintama
Eyeshield 21
Skip Beat!
Shugo Chara
Dear Boys
Chrono Crusade
Neo Angelique Abyss

We also have a bunch of simulcast next week! You can watch the latest Gintama, Shugo Chara, Skip Beat, Natsume Yujincho, Web Ghosts PiPoPa, Linebarrels of Iron, Tower of Druaga -the Sword of Uruk-, and more, right when it is broadcast in Japan... and only here on Crunchyroll!

Most of these shows will be soft-subtitled in English when it launches. Remember, we try extremely hard to get worldwide broadcast rights for these shows, but often times it gets really complicated, so unfortunately we can't show it in your region. For region details, check out our January lineup.

Crunchyroll is now one of the few places online to watch anime legitimately - if you have to watch something, please do it on Crunchyroll to support the anime industry. Only with your support can they keep making more anime! Thanks for all your support, and long live cr!

Shinji, I hope CR is going to get permission to put on Bleach, Vampire Knight, La Corda D'Oro and other shows on. That would be really awesome. I can't buy a anime membership thingy, so I have to wait patiently for a week until I can watch the anime but I still want to thank you for doing all the work for us. Keep up doing the good work

Have you not read. Dattebayo who currently subs Naruto can no longer since CR hooked up with the Japanese TV station that broadcast it. Personally I will pay to ensure I get to watch the shows I want to in there highest quality. Also the selection here is not bad. I just wish I could down load the shows I want to with out them asking for a donation. Now that is one thing I did once and never will again. Well that is my 2cents worth.

i just read on 2008-09 Shonen jump and other anime magazines

it seems that crunchyroll is more famous than everyone thinks MANY tv stations are wiilling to give their anime for a certain price as such but you dont have to pay as its is free except much faster uploads for you to see for payers

i personnaly hope J.C Staff is going to join cuz they created shakugan no shana and other popular titles

i dont think crunchyroll is falling but ON THE EDGE ive seen some members and colegues of mine quited crunchy and alot of them too :[

well as long as i can watch them its all good

AND I FREAKING LOVE GINTAMA AND WHERES KHR GOD DAM IT T^T
my username feels out of place

I just watched 10 episodes of legal Skip Beat for the first time in 720p hi-def streaming with good subtitles; I am presently happy to have a membership. All I can say is, "Region restrictions be gone!!" I appreciate CR right now dern it!! I hope that more and more shows start streaming in 720p (Last Exile would be beautiful) and am excited about new content this year. If the industry goes CR, I will be a happy anime watcher.
