Most of these shows will be soft-subtitled in English when it launches. Remember, we try extremely hard to get worldwide broadcast rights for these shows, but often times it gets really complicated, so unfortunately we can't show it in your region. For region details, check out our January lineup.

Nice work but I'm just wondering since most of the anime I really want to watch are all not available in my country (Philippines), and you've said that your still working on them to be available.

Is there any way to watch SKIP BEAT here in the Philippines. Because they've said that episode 13 - and so on will only be available in crunchyroll. And Kookiemonstarreturns will not sub the succeeding episode.

Please help,.,.

Well i can follow up with naruto now i guess but yeah do something about the quality of the subs cause some are just unbearable (the translation is ok but they need to work on the timing better!)

oh if the subtitle timing is off for h264 and 480p and 720p, please try lq or hq for now...sorry~ it should be fixed tomorrow..

I've skimmed through some episodes so far of Naruto and Skip Beat, while legible it's missing the quality and design creativity of fansubs meaning not as pleasing to the eye. Translation needs work too. Like in Skip Beat episode 12, did they seriously just call moko (Kanae Kotonami) into whinerella? Luckily people can still upload better subs, or else it'd irritate me while watching.

Besides that, I'm very happy for CR's new developments. Damn I'll probably be addicted to CR for life now, as if sex and drugs wasn't enough. LOL

Hi! I'm relatively new to crunchyroll Shinji, and I registered so that I could watch free animes here. I was a bit surprised to see so many anime shows removed, and that you need to purchase anime membership to enjoy most of the shows by watching it almost simultaneously during airtime in Japan (which I think is kind of pointless, affects subtitle quality). My question has been asked previously by other posters and I believed that it hasn't been answered yet. There is this issue of regional block, where you can't watch some anime content. If I purchase this anime membership of yours, will I be able to watch ALL anime available at crunchyroll? You see, I think its a bit of waste to spend money when I could only watch only 3-5 anime shows at the site and I think your idea of anime membership is good to support those who are making anime shows. But we cannot deny the fact that there are still other streaming sites available, and we could also instead download sub content from fansubbers (and with all due respect, most subbers are good, tha'ts why they are released 6-12 hours after first shown in Japan). And both costs relatively free. I live in the Philippines and I am sad that most of my favorite anime shows are blocked.

Another thing, these anime shows are aired on Japan and watched on TV screens for free, right? So when they are licensed by a media company in the US, does it mean you need to be charged then in order to watch those anime when you are living outside Japan? But those shows are also being shown in US through their television screens relatively free by the same media outfit.. Its just that it is delayed. Are we paying in order to watch the anime simultaneously while it is being shown in Japan?

I am not really criticizing the changes, nor i am against it. I am just voicing some concerns and I hope this will serve as a challenge so that crunchyroll gets better. After all, fans and viewers' interest should always be placed on top above everything else. Go CR!

QFT, changing character names in translations is unacceptable.

I'm not sure if many understand just how revolutionary what Crunchyroll has been able to do.
Where else can you get anime subtitled and in High Definition 1 HOUR after it has been shown in Japan? WHERE? Not even speed subbers can keep up with that because even they have to wait for RAWS to come out. The whole fansubbing process is illegal and any moment the fansub groups know they could get shut down, all they want to do is support the anime industry and show it to a wider audience and that is what Crunchyroll has accomplished, legally. As for the Region blocking, its understandable considering other local TV stations have paid for licenses to show these shows in their region, so its more of a legal/licensing issue. If you want to watch elsewhere for free, go ahead, but if you want to support the publishers and their anime, watch it on Crunchyroll. I'm sure free places will popup showing the region blocked anime from crunchyroll or fansub groups may still sub the animes and release them, but in the end this is where the industry should head towards, anime available for as many people as possible, online, free, and subbed.

More like 5-10 days for subbed version to be released by subbers... even the RAW takes 2-5 days to be released.

guys give shinji a break. He's done a lot of work.. the least he needs right now is complaints.
