Wow, you guys really hate this guy. Maybe I should look into him. I’ve never once seen or heard him say anything even remotely controversial. Most of his stuff seems to be pretty bland political rhetoric. A lot of recycled platitudes that suggest to me he is every bit the puppet he appears. Like I said, I think he legitimately believes what he says and I haven’t seen any reason to think he’s made a pact with Satan.

I see why Drizza would hate him. Pat isn’t a friend of the ummah--though, I think some of his comments that offend Muslims are still true. (Islam did, for example, begin as Christian heresy. That's just historical fact. The word "heresy," is just misleading in its connotation. Christianity is Jewish heresy.)I can guess why Yei hates him too--he’s a hyper conservative activist with the religious right movement. But what did he say about Haiti? Is there any reason beyond a conflict in values/opinion to say he's immoral?

Now I kind of feel bad for throwing my hat in his ring at the start. I’d watched a few episodes of the 700 club and I never noticed anything particularly noteworthy about him or his opinions, much less offensive.

The fact that you can watch the 700 club for 30 seconds without projectile vomiting, may explain why "his stuff seems to be pretty bland political rhetoric".

Clearly you are avoiding the awful truth, or you are a true sadist. Everyone ead the facts for yourself here... Pat Robertson controversies.

Now is the time to be honest with oneself.

I read over the wikipedia page you linked and, again, it seems to be pretty typical hyper-right wing bull. Like I said, nothing special about him, he's just narrow minded. In terms of his comments, some seem ridiculous. Others are legitimate opinions, even if I don’t particularly agree with them. For example, the 'feminism controversy.' Feminism is a political movement with its own corruption and imperfections. Why should it be controversial to criticize it? Early feminism focused on family values and womankind's unique position and identity within society. Those women would be disgusted with what its become. His comments about Islam being Christian heracy is actually true, historically anyway. Christianity is just Jewish heracy.

How was anything he said any different than any religious-right, bible thumping evangelic?

His comments about Islam But that you're claiming he made a pact with the devil immediately suggests to me that you're simply trying to demonize somebody for disagreeing with you.
